The thing you have to realize about the DC Metro system is that it is a patronage system. Any transportation provided is a by-product. The completed expansion to Tyson’s Corner and out to Dulles was the largest public works project in the last twenty years. Further, the Metro is expensive and unreliable with frequent breakdowns and the occasional fire.
Why? Because SEPTA SUCKS. Always has. A bunch of lazy ass union thugs with the IQ of morons.
