SHREVEPORT, La. -- Approximately 80 Haitian immigrants were dropped off in the city Thursday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and local officials are warning there may be more busloads to come.
The influx of immigrants came in two waves to the SporTran Intermodal Terminal at Texas and Murphy Streets in downtown Shreveport, according to a SporTran official who did not want to be identified. ICE confirmed the arrival of two buses.
But the influx came with apparently little or no warning to City of Shreveport government and law enforcement officials. Marquel Sennet, spokeswoman for Mayor Adrian Perkins, said the city was notified the same day.
Local government officials confirmed to KTBS-3 News that one bus arrived Thursday with about 50 immigrants on board. A second bus arrived later at about 5:30 p.m. with 29 people aboard -- 22 men and seven women.
A source with SporTran told KTBS that the men all had money, and all made travel connections, most on Greyhound. Some even had airline tickets and headed straight to the airport. But that source said some of the women had little or no money.
They were helped by the Church for the Highlands, confirmed pastor John Henson, who said they provided transportation, telephones, WiFi and help with travel logistics.
“The Bible says to help aliens and people in distress, those who are in need, and that’s exactly what we are doing,” Henson said.
Another local non-profit which did not want to be named confirmed it provided funding for hotel rooms for some of the immigrants.
KTBS also contacted the ICE field office in New Orleans responsible for the drop off. The head of the office, Caridad Cephas-Kimbrough, declined to comment on the operation over the phone, but instead referred KTBS to a public information officer, Sarah Loicano.
Loicano released a written statement that read, in part: “ICE’s enforcement and removal operations New Orleans field office is transporting individuals, in accordance with COVID-19 protocols, released from ICE custody to regional airports or bus stations. individuals released from ice custody have a transportation and a temporary support plan in place prior to release."
SporTran sources were told Thursday that up to 17 more bus loads of immigrants and refugees are coming to Shreveport. Loicano told KTBS Friday that number may be high. However, she could not provide a specific number, nor a time frame for those arrivals.
Two local law enforcement agencies also confirmed to KTBS-3 News that they were not told of this plan by ICE. They expressed concern and said they are watching the situation closely.
And it's not just Shreveport. KTBS-3 News is getting reports of similar drop offs in communities all over Louisiana and Mississippi.
Selectively dumping in Red states.
That state doesn’t need any more poor, uneducated, unemployable, non citizens. They have floodings every year to keep them busy trying to maintain the economy.
If the people aren’t going to stop them, then they deserve the hardship to their own lives. We seem willing to let the left slowly bleed this country dry, although lately it hasn’t been slowly. Misguided and delusional to believe this will all correct itself legally or at the ballot box.
Another surprise from the Biden administration. Remember no bad talk about Biden on FakeBook or you’ll get censored.
Pass them on to Lafayette Park across from the White Basement.
Each of the towns should take notes, keep an eye on these people, wait a week—then ask for their IDs and so forth and quietly transport them right back home. It will be a bargain.
Or to D.C. Preferably AOC’s neighborhood.

We as a people are still far too comfortable in our lives to get off our asses. Our country is rapidly devolving into anarchy. A process designed by Leftists and Globalists.
But, this deliberate process of the destruction of the USA hasn’t yet affected enough people to spur mass outrage. Most Americans are just comfortable enough in their lives they do not want to get involved.
They may go out and vote and they may comment on social media and even donate small sums to certain candidates but, any more than that is too much trouble. Meanwhile, Leftists are FULLY ENGAGED. Willing to do and risk anything to get what they want. This is why we are on the path we are on.
…if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.
A major factor for why we are on this path has been the Bush League Republicans we have been electing and re-electing, even after they have demonstrated that they will not secure the border, enforce the law and in fact want to give the Democrats a permanent majority with amnesty.
Yep. Top priority.
These people should be resettled into liberal elite and Hollywood elite neighborhoods.
Easier to say you’re sorry than to ask permission. U no it.
“Selectively dumping in Red states.”
Obama talked about getting more “blue’ voters to “red” states after the Dems lost the Senate in 2014.
Obama was the WORST president in the history of the US.
Race baiting, “get in their faces” and the “green jobs debacle among others. People decided they wanted no more of him. In October 2019 he couldn’t even find 50 people to listen to him. Trump had 50,000.
The JoeBama regime is a RERUN on steroids FORCED upon us by skullduggery and treason.
We don’t have to take this.
The regime is unconstitutional and everyone knows it.
In June approx. 185,000 were caught at the Border in just one area. Which doesn’t include those not caught. They are simply bringing them in and if they have other relatives anywhere in the US busing the there or setting them out on their own.
Local law enforcement agencies need to set up a network and be on the alert for those buses. When one full of illegals is located, they need to be tracked. When they pull into a bus station to unload, they need to be met by every cop from a hundred miles around and ordered right back onto the buses.
It will be cheaper in the long run to gather up these folks and buy them bus tickets to DC. Sending them “home” does no good..they will just be welcomed back in by the same idiots who put them there in the first place
