FNC’s Carlson: ‘Why Is Mark Milley Still in Command of the U.S. Military?’

Thursday, FNC’s Tucker Carlson questioned why the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley continues to hold that position.

Carlson cited reports that Milley meddled in then-President Donald Trump’s personnel decisions in the last days of his presidency and Milley’s effort to derail the Afghanistan withdrawal as reasons for such actions.

Sorta, kinda, similar to acts of treason on millie 's part and a whole slew of others in the officer ranks. If nothing else, an article 133 of the UCMJ would seem in order but nobody has the testicular fortitude to raise that alarm. Thoroughly modern millie needs to be in a stockade someplace. Certainly not the military I was in.

Because .. he serves at the pleasure of the President, who is controlled by people who approve of Milley’s attitude.

He’s the senior military adviser to POTUS. The only thing he commands is a desk.

While watching Milley on tv and not knowing anything about him before now I kept thinking I can smell him, he stinks. I really smelled a terrible odor while he was one. Eerie.

Technically, he’s not in ‘command’ - at least not combatant command - of the US military. Since Goldwater-Nichols was enacted, the CJCS has been largely been relegated to an presidential advisor.

But, I get and agree with Tucker’s larger point. I also think Milley has been incredibly close to violating 1344.10. IS BLM a political organization? I think it plainly is. Commissioned officers are not supposed to be commenting in their official capacity on political matters. And yet, he does, routinely.
