The federal prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden's taxes waited until after the election to seek search warrants or issue grand jury subpoenas, a new report revealed Friday, out of fears his probe would become public and affect the presidential contest.

Delaware's U.S. Attorney David Weiss decided to delay taking any actions that could flag the probe for the public, Politico reported, so that the investigation wouldn't become a campaign issue in the contest between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Weiss began his probe of President Joe Biden's son in 2018 and, by last summer, was ready to issue the warrants and subpoenas but decided to hold off.

But, in fact, doing so WAS a political move in that he withheld information from the electorate. Sorry but when there’s an indictment possible you have to let the chips fall where they may. Isn't there a DOJ policy that prevents the DOJ from launching new investigations close to an election?

There needs to be major reform regarding how Prosecutors are allowed to operate. My first two items would be:

1) Eliminate Prosecutorial Discretion in cases where two people are involved in a conflict with each other. I was involved with a case were charges were brought against me. It was tape recorded and the other person involved (ex-wife) is clearly heard committing the same crimes I was charged with. However, the Prosecutor saw no need to file charges against her.

2) Eliminate Plea Bargains, this is a tool the Prosecutors use to up charge defendants with crime that have serious sentencing requirements. In most cases they would be unsuccessful prosecuting this charge in court. Unfortunately, most Defendants can't take that risk and agree to a deal. If they charge you with it, they should not be able to dismiss it.

If these and other reforms were implemented you would see major changes in the courts, all benefiting the defendant. The Judges, Lawyers, Police and Government are out of control and I can't wait for the great reckoning to occur.

So tying a US presidential candidate into implied graft, money laundering, and allowing the illegal use of government property (misappropriation) while threatening to withhold congressionally earmarked money until the candidate’s family member is no longer being investigated for crime that is connected to the candidate, should not come out?
