When you are fighting Muslims, surrender doesn’t work. Better to die fighting.
Biden has full faith those Afghan fighters loyal to the US are better trained, better equipped, and better led, than the Taliban. He forgot they are better at bleeding out though.

That aside, we know fanatical muslims would never kill anyone who surrendered to them. Out of character.
How much did we spend on training and arming the elite forces ? The elite forces had no desire to learn to fight or be self reliant. As long as the US was there all was good.

The Afghan troops lack motivation so perhaps the sure knowledge that you fight the Taliban to the last man because they are going to kill you or worse if you surrender may provide the necessary motivation to stick together and fight to the death.
If that keeps up, perhaps the Taliban may begin to lack motivation

Strange report. They were out of ammunition and waiting for air support. Which never came. Why not? Also some of the Taliban spook a language not recognized. Landscape there looks like Mars. What a mess.
On Sept. 12, 2001, I suggested that the easiest, cheapest and most immediate “anti-terror” policy the USA could take would be a complete travel-ban with nations of South Asia, Mid-East and North Africa, and anyone born in those places.
It seems America’s wise leaders and elites chose endless and expensive wars, mass immigration, and complete monitoring of US citizens instead.
