There’s that word again.. “rare.”
How long until we reach medium rare?
The response will be... 100 cases out of over 12 million doses administered is just .00088%.
Drop in the bucket. Benefits far outweigh the risks.
This rare “syndrome” is most often attributed to a person who has the flu. As I’ve always said this is/was a severe flu year worldwide.
Repeating the problems with the 1976 Swine Flu vaccine. Seems like there would be a way to test someone BEFORE they got a shot.
Have had the chronic form of Guillain-Barré since my first and last flu shot in 1999. Hasn’t been fun.
Coronavirus PING!
I will not be getting any jab. But I think 100 in 12+ million is pretty low risk. Even if it is 1000. In the TV ads for various medicines a lot of time is spent on the risks “Using this may cause....”. I wonder what the numbers are on those complications for everyday medicines?
I’m more concerned with the “unknown unknowns” or however that speech went is that Rumsfield put it prior to going into Iraq.
Found it:
“Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don’t know we don’t know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult ones.”
How many times has J&J been declared Safe? Not Safe?
Safe. Not Safe. Safe. Not Safe.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Stock taking a hit again?
They need a big warning on all of them.
This vaccine is currently in Phase III Trials.
Get a J&J shot get a free immune system disorder..according to Dems thats win/win
Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body.
When I had GBS in 1973 my doctor told me about 1 in 100,000 come down with it every year, the result of exposure to various viruses, so the numbers seem about right. I had a severe upper respiratory infection with fever about two weeks before I came down with GBS, wasn’t the flu, just like a bad cold.
Not fun and took a lot of rehab to get back to something close to normal. Scary thing is exposure to any virus (or vaccine) can trigger it, the immune system just goes haywire and attacks your nerves.
Which is more rare, getting guillain-barre syndrome from the shots, or winning a million dollars for taking the shots?
Swine Flu vaccine in 1976: 500 developed Guillen Barre after receiving the vaccine, 25 died. The program was suspended after 10 weeks.
Why is there a different standard for the CoupFlu vaccines...?
I haven’t seen EVERY FDA warning, but has there been such a precautionary notice on Ivermectin?
...Vitamin C?
...Zinc?
...etc, etc, etc?
Suuuuuure, it’s a warning on the label, that i’m certain EVERYBODY has seen and read. NOT.
(most sheeple i know that have been immunized have no clue which product)
From the CDC site
In 1976, there was a small increased risk of GBS after swine flu vaccination, which was a special flu vaccine for a potential pandemic strain of flu virus.
Now they act like this is a new thing with this vaccine. Chicken little is at least 45 years old.
It also is a rare side effect of the seasonal flu vaccine. I know someone that it happened to.
