Biologist to Tucker Carlson: If Ivermectin proven effective against COVID, it moots vaccine push
Fox News ^ | 07/12/2021 | Charles Creitz

Posted on 07/12/2021 8:07:09 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

An evolutionary biologist claimed Friday that, should the anti-malarial drug Ivermectin be proven effective against the coronavirus, it would moot the usage of and potentially the ability to administer the U.S. coronavirus vaccines currently active under the Food & Drug Administration's Emergency Use Authorization.

Bret Weinstein – who previously made headlines after being pressured out of his biology professorship at Evergreen State College in Washington State for criticizing an anti-White "day-of-absence" – told Fox Nation's "Tucker Carlson Today" that he has been analyzing the vaccines, and has summarily been censored for raising concerns about the shots and the medical establishment's opposition to alternative treatments.

"[I]f Ivermectin is what those of us who have looked at the evidence think it is … then the debate about the vaccines would be over by definition, because the vaccines that we have so far were granted emergency use authorization," Weinstein said, noting that the coronavirus vaccines are not formally "approved" treatments by the FDA and instead administered under the rarely-delineated category of EUA.

According to the FDA's own definition, an EUA is "is a mechanism to facilitate the availability and use of medical countermeasures, including vaccines, during public health emergencies, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic."

"Under an EUA, FDA may allow the use of unapproved medical products, or unapproved uses of approved medical products in an emergency to diagnose, treat, or prevent serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions when certain statutory criteria have been met, including that there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives," the agency said.

That last clause, Weinstein told host Tucker Carlson, is key to why it is important that Ivermectin and other established pharmaceuticals are thoroughly investigated as alternative treatments.

Yeah, the portion on covid that uses Reuters, Vice, Politifact, NBC etc as sources.

Why should SeekandFind included leftist slanted articles and fact checkers?

Go find Trump’s wikipedia page or your favorite conservative and see what they have to say. The same wikipedia that calls FR “radical right wing activists”.

The ONLY thing wikipedia is good for are basic facts. Everything else is leftist propaganda, you radical right wing activist.

1) Why was zinc missing from the HCQ protocol?
HCQ and zinc have a synergistic effect as shown by Zelenko and other successful outcomes from outpatient therapy…prevention of hospitalization being a successful outcome

2) How many people got remdesivir as an outpatient to prevent hospitalization?

RE: Wikipedia is far left, pro establishment and full of lies. His own creator trashes it. You look ridiculous.

Yes, I know that. That is why I only include information that is NOT opinion.

By the way, kindly direct that response you just sent to me to DugwayDuke. He is the one who gives the far left information credibility, not me.

RE: YouTube demonetized the couple’s channels in response to their claims about ivermectin.

Who cares?

I agree. YouTube took down everything related to Ivermectin, Even the testimony of credentialed doctors to Senate. YouTube took down every video that are seen to support Trump, YouTube banned Dennis Prager’s PragerU videos, YouTube took down every sworn testimony made by folks who were eyewitnesses to the November 2020 election irregularities, etc.

I’m not sure if this piece of information is a badge of shame at all.

Fine, but those are not attacks on the man but a discussion of his positions on COVID.

I have read a fair bit about this subject and am open to any information with every effort to NOT allow my political bias to color the science. It’s difficult to do and I will not pretend to have all the answers. I don’t think anyone does right now even a year into this circus.

However, I feel confident in saying that the spike protein is the critical unknown in both the virus itself AND in the mRNA vaccines. The technology itself is amazing and it is potentially a watershed moment in humanities fight against disease, but the spike protein of this virus was the worst possible selection for the first mRNA technology vaccine.

If, and I say if, there is an outcome that is very bad as some fear, it will be because of this protein. A protein that appears clearly engineered by something other than nature for a purpose.

This man is reasonable, well-educated, and he is worth listening to on the subject of Covid. He is very interesting and reasonable on many subjects. The quintessential classical liberal.

Like all of us, he may have some assumptions that are wrong or colored by bias, but he is in the top-tier of people asking the right questions and voicing concerns.

I find him to be an ally more than a political enemy.

Nope, they are NEGATIVE comments on HIS POSITIONS. Any balanced post would include SUPPORTING comments on his positions.

But again, why should I include these information? As I said before, anyone can click on the link I provided to make up his own mind.

I only provide BASIC INFORMATION.

Its main use is for parasites, but there is evidence for its effectiveness against malaria, and it’s being promoted for that, as well:

It IS "proven effective"!

If it weren't, then Big Pharma, the FDA, CDC, and the lying media, wouldn't be working so hard to demonize it.

When they bring fact-free rhetoric to dismiss it, you can be certain the motivations are self-serving.

He has two faces for those of us here on FR.

Many, if not most, would agree with him about Covid here on FR.

Many, if not most, are turned off by his politics, which are certainly left of center.

However, I learn more from listening to him than I do most commentators on the right because I can predict with ease what they will say on any given subject and they don’t force me out of my comfort zone or my own dogma.

P.S. - I am certain that he and his wife were both excellent teachers. While we may vehemently disagree with some of their political ideology on a host of subjects, they are better allies than enemies because they are willing to listen and respectfully debate. A quality that is sadly in short supply in our nation.

The sad reality is that we could have had both in Operation Warp Speed.

We could have pushed potential treatments. Trump wanted to do this and it was nothing more than a swipe of a pen for him.

We could have made the same push we did on vaccines.

One is left with a critical question and sadly, an obvious answer.

Why were remedies all demonized reflexively by the left?

Obvious answer..... it was good politics for them and it meant more profit for big pharma as there was no money in ivermectin or HCQ.

If they acknowledged effective therapeutics then they could NOT have approved emergency authorization for the vaccines.

I believe Peter Navarro addressed this and said it was discussed at the White House. Trump did not give a damn and he had the authority to do both and was willing to do so.

The EUA could have still existed. We could have pushed the treatments also.

In the end, I think big pharma correctly realized that fewer people would have wanted the shot if there was a vaccine with good efficacy. I think our health bureaucrats realized the same thing also and they seem very beholden to big pharma.

Perhaps most important only a year ago was that it hurt their politics to have a remedy, but never forget that Trump was willing to do both and would have!

I agree. In another post, Mr. DD proudly ‘cited’: YouTube for DEMONETIZING the couple for their opinion on Ivermectin. IMO, it’s a badge of honor from the commie Big Tech.

I’m trying to catch DD in his morning shift to answer questions I posted him yesterday that he ‘forgot’ to answer.

2) How many people got remdesivir as an outpatient to prevent hospitalization?

Zero....

More people need to ask this question... I like the rhetoric behind it... it helps explain the stupidity of avoiding the inexpensive treatments...especially early in the game, and emohasizes the money making desire of certain “health profiteers”...

For two months (March and April 2020) we required HCQ + azithromycin for all COVID patients (about 150), and, beginning in May 2020, as negative results were pouring in from all over the USA, we made it optional.

Link, please. And who is "we".

The Plasmodium Yoelii parasite gene that forms the spikes of covid which atributs the P. vivax malaria infections.
Ivermectin is an anti-parasite that works best against malaria.

The parasite that forms the spike is found in this report

So what he's saying is that because we have a medication that will help you recover from COVID then there is no reason to try and prevent you from getting it in the first place?
