The recall election will present voters with two questions. September 14, 2021.
The first will ask whether Newsom should be recalled from the office of governor.
The second will ask who should succeed Newsom if he is recalled. A majority vote is required on the first question for the governor to be recalled. The candidate with the MOST votes on the second question would win the election, no majority required.

WELL WHO SHOULD WE PICK?
Should we ask PRESIDENT TRUMP?
Having lived in California for over 55 years and only recently moved out of state in late 2018, I suspect question #2 will likely not be needed.
Is write in available? All republicans should write in Trump. That would be a hoot
Resident of California?
Tell that to Grey Davis
Heavens no! I would likely know the rules if I were.
Alas I suspect you’re right. Last time there was buzz around Schwarzenegger and this time the press is not going to allow a lot of coverage of the election
That’s the conventional wisdom, but recalls are weird. If it’s a choice between Candidate A and Candidate B, the voter picks his favorite of the two or the one whom he perceives as the lesser of two evils. With a recall, the question for the voter isn’t “Who do you like better, Candidate A or B?” Rather, the question is more like, “Does Candidate A suck?” This is could be a low turnout election. And the folks who dislike Gavin are much more motivated than those who think he’s okay.
Who are our choices
Some possible candidates
Larry Elder and Candice Owens
and
We DON’T want Caitlyn
We’ve got to see who runs. John Cox, who ran for governor in 2018, and former SD Mayor Kevin Faulconer, are prominent Republicans who are running.

?
?
Most votes IS majority.
Wth !?
Ballotpedia ?
The world has gone stupid.
On purpose.
It wasn’t worded well. If you have three or more candidates, the winning candidate could, and most likely would, have fewer votes than the others combined, thus not a majority in terms of all combined.
It wasn’t worded well.

Thank you.
So the illiterate ‘ reporter’ meant
societal preference order.
Plurality Winner: A term for the candidate who got more votes than any other competing candidates. In elections with more than two candidates, a plurality winner may have less than 50% of the votes. In the Single-Choice Plurality voting method, such a candidate is the winner. Compare with Majority Winner

Well, if I had my choice it would be
Devin Nunes
But he’s really needed where he is.
So,,,,, clone him ! ?
Cox seems like another rino.
Cox
Political party: Republican (2000–present)
Other political affiliations: Democratic (before 2000)
Faulconer has strong relationships with prominent Republicans including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy
/\
Strong rino connections ?
No thanks.
