That was kind of my point. I have three vehicles, all three of which I bought off craigslist. A twenty-year old Ranger, a 14-year old Yaris and a 10 year old Corolla. They have all been great vehicles and are still going strong. I keep an eye on craigslist and nothing has come up in my price/value range for a long time.
Yaris, with 1.9L, built in Japan is a tight motor with quality build. I had an ‘08 hatchback that I ran to ,95k miles with never a problem. Chirped third gear. Lowered it with torsion bars, short shift kit, cold air intake and exhaust. Handled like a cart.
