“Biden’s criminal justice agenda, such as his plans to increase the number of former public defenders on the federal bench”

His “criminal justice” agenda is to put the criminals in charge of the courts.

Insanity.

I smell George Soros

Oh, I thought it was a dead squirrel that got into a heat duct and rotted. That happened once in the ceiling of a building where I worked. Oddly horrible and nauseating stench.

Fits Soros, though.

A 'New Breed' smells very much more like an old breed: A Star Chamber, like Under The Stuart Monarchs

"..include the dozens of U.S. attorney offices across the country that prosecute federal crimes."

The brown shirt federal prosecutors will be geared toward pursuing citizens that oppose liberal mandates.

...a tough-on-crime culture that is increasingly at odds with the nation’s evolving views on criminal justice

Evolving how, exactly? If Chicago, San Fran, NYC etc. are exemplars of this 'evolution', then no thank you.

Advocates have applauded Biden's criminal justice agenda, such as his plans to increase the number of former public defenders on the federal bench, but stress that the same priorities should be applied when selecting prosecutors to oversee the country's 93 districts.

That worked out so well for San Francisco, when for the first time when they elected Terrance Hallinan, a defense attorney, in 1995.

Hallinan was the first defense attorney to become the lead prosecutor in San Francisco. He immediately stopped prosecuting crimes, scoring the lowest winning percentage for a California DA by the time of his reelection in 1999.

Hallinan was defeated in the 2003 election by Kamala Harris, and the city has been on an irreversible track ever since.

Hallinan was a thug who settled personal differences with fistfights even into adulthood. Despite that, he was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and then the the District Attorney's office twice.

Hallinan's long-time aide was Ross Mirkarimi, who eventually became the Sheriff of San Francisco. Mirkarimi was accused of domestic abuse by his wife and later by another woman.

San Francisco seems to have turned away from having prosecutors who prosecute towards defenders of criminals in the DA role.

And now the Left wants the Biden administration to follow this model at the federal level. I expect the same results to follow. It will be San Francisco at the national level.

"Biden under pressure to pick new breed of federal prosecutors."

Yes, we're definitely in need for more homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, cross-sexuals, this-sexuals and that-sexuals in the courthouse and in the classrooms, in the sports and in the children's library.. What we need a lot more of is black communist Jew women with wooden legs just to make things more fair and equable... (sniff)

Exactly! Why does he need to add Public Defenders if they are gonna stop arresting real criminals?
