Vice President Kamala Harris is facing criticism after suggesting that people who live in rural areas aren't able to make photocopies because they don't have a Kinkos or OfficeMax nearby.
Harris made the remarks in an interview with BET News on Friday as part of an argument against voter ID laws, including those in some states that require a photocopy of ID to vote by mail.
'I don't think that we should underestimate what that [compromise on voter ID laws] could mean,' Harris said.
'Because in some people's mind, that means you're going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don't - there's no Kinkos, there's no OfficeMax near them,' she added.
'Of course people have to prove who they are,' Harris said, but 'not in a way that makes it almost impossible for them to prove who they are.'
The remarks drew mockery from some on Twitter, who said that they were able to make photocopies despite living in rural areas.

(assuming you don't have or know someone with a printer and digital camera device)
Pipe down, slut.
I called her a buffoon before Tucker!
She ant no slut....she be a HO. Difference is “a HO has sex with anyone....a slut has sex with anyone but YOU”....she be a HO.
Can’t rural people take pictures of ID with Obama smartphones? /semi-sarc
Or the post office where you mail the ballot.
So crazy. I haven’t been to a Kinkos in years...
Oddly enough, I JUST applied and was accepted to the local community college for their teaching program. I had to supply copies of certain items like my drivers license, house deed, etc.
Did I go to a Kinkos?
Nah... I scanned on my affordable laser printer that I bought from the local Best Buy and emailed after making hi res jpegs... all from the printer/laptop.
I can also make copies directly from my iPhone and email...
As could most of my low income students with their iphones or samsungs...
Kamala is so... out of touch, or really — elitist.
(Coincidentally, 10 years is been about as long ago as I needed to look for one since we've had a multi-function computer printer/scanner.)
My Kroger has a copy machine and a fax. I bet our CVS does too, but I haven’t actually checked there. Of course, banks also have them. I do have a working printer in my own home and use it nearly every day. I like to print off recipes that I find interesting so I don’t have to have my iPad available while cooking. It’s just easier for me from a printed page. It even makes fairly decent copies of photos that I take, but I prefer to get those printed professionally so as not to waste my colored ink.
Harris comes from SLAVE OWNERS.
SLAVE OWNERS.
SO she THINKS like one about them, that
they are STUPID slaves, like her family OWNED.
THIS VP’s FAMILY OWNED SLAVES.
that is ok with Antifa. ok with BLM. Reconcile.
The truth is CommaLa thinks blacks are too stupid to get an ID... and THAT’S INSULTING TO BLACKS, TO US, TO ALL AMERICANS.
It is amazing around here you can actually go to this building and vote. In rural America we are not afraid to vote in person.
A chicken in every pot. A xerox on every house!
We even have ‘puters and scanners and printers, Cameltoe!
EVERY DAMN PERSON in this country has an ID I am so sick to death of this BS and black people should be absolutely infuriated that she thinks people do HER color are to STUPID to have an ID!!! DEAR GOD I HATE these people!!!
Can you get an EBT card without photo ID?
I’m about as rural as you can get. I have three computers and a darned good copier, printer and even first quality CD printer.
We’re not hacks out here. Then again, check out the homes in the inner city.
Do = of her color OOPS!!!
Since we got electricity a few months back I just use the copier at home now. Who knew you could run so much stuff with it?!!
