Chinese government ships enter Japanese waters near Senkakus

Naha – Two Chinese coast guard ships sailed in Japanese territorial waters off the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture on Saturday.

The Japan Coast Guard urged the two Haijing ships to leave the waters after they approached a Japanese fishing boat.

It was the first intrusion into Japanese territorial waters around the island chain by Chinese government ships since June 26 and the 23rd this year.

The Chinese ships entered the Japanese waters south of Minamikojima in the Senkaku chain around 11:15 a.m., according to the Japan Coast Guard.

The Japanese-administrated islands are also claimed by China, which calls them the Diaoyu.

“I wouldn’t give two lychee nuts for the Three Gorges Dam.”

That is actually funny...

Could soon become just “Three Gorges”, or “The Gorge”, if China keeps playing games with Japan.

Japan's constitution has it built in that their military would be defensive only, never offensive. Having some limited exposure to the Japanese Defense Forces I can say that they take it very seriously, at least in public.

China making it easy to say any action against China is purely self-defense.

They won’t stop until shot at. And they need to fortify those islands like Iwo Jima. Caves and 8 inch rifles, missiles galore.

For starters, everytime this happens, a Jap warship should sail right into Chinese waters. Make them shoot first.

In the meantime Tokyo should call Lexus and tell them they want some Lexus quality nukes in six weeks.

What a wonderful time to have a demented POTUS elected by MSM and Silicon Valley to lead the free world!

The modern Japanese Navy exceeds the British Royal Navy by far. As does the Indian Navy.

The naval world is FAR different than it was in the 80s.

In the two fights the chinese have gotten into with Japan, Japan kicked them back to the stone age. Some don’t learn.

Fascinating.

If handlers control things with the military it makes an interesting problem for the American people.
I’d feel better if that were in a Tom Clancy or Robert Ludlum novel than in real life.

Maybe Japan should ask China which half of the Three Gorges Dam they would like to keep.

I was directly talking about the quality of ships that the Chicoms are building today. Most are bad copies of old Soviet-Era Designs built into modern looking ships. Chinese Submarines are noise as the 70-80s Era Soviet Subs which most are based on even the Nukes and when I was stationed in Japan in the 1990s the Japanese were the ones you wanted on your side when it came to ASW, there last remaining P-2s were on par with our P-3s and S-3s. Like I said China can outbuild us and the JNs in ships, but most are floating targets as the Chicoms have just gotten into the Blue Water Navy in the last 20 years with no concept of power projection outside of bullying Japan and Taiwan.

I would think that Japan is more likely to not have nuclear arms, but to have resources available to have fully functional WMDs on demand on very short notice.

Even more likely is that the Japanese have spectacular intelligence assets deployed whom would prove very inconvenient for the chicoms,

Finally, the Japanese were attacked by what appears to have been a chicom bio weapon, just like everyone else.

I place no limitations on their response to that.
