I agree. There’s no such thing as an executive agency that is t under the control of the executive, or at least there wasn’t until the Supremes partially salvaged Consumer Protection. As I recall, however, they did strike down the statutory provisions preventing the President from firing the director

But the Supremes ruled and I agree.
Frankly, the President is the executive branch and the idea he can’t fire any underling for any reason he’s wants is absurd.
Biden is not the rightful President but it is what it is.
