CNN — A new data analysis identifies clusters of unvaccinated people, most of them in the southern United States, that are vulnerable to surges in Covid-19 cases and could become breeding grounds for even more deadly Covid-19 variants.
The analysis by researchers at Georgetown University identified 30 clusters of counties with low vaccination rates and significant population sizes. The five most significant of those clusters are sprawled across large swaths of the southeastern United States and a smaller portion in the Midwest.
The five clusters are largely in parts of eight states, starting in the east in Georgia and stretching west to Texas and north to southern Missouri. The clusters also include parts of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Tennessee, and are made up of mostly smaller counties but also cities such as Montgomery, Alabama; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Amarillo, Texas.
Most of these states are currently seeing increases in Covid-19 cases.
“Parts of the country are just as vulnerable if not more vulnerable than they were in December, 2020,” said Shweta Bansal, an associate professor of biology at Georgetown University.
Those vulnerable clusters put all of the United States – and to some extent, the world – at risk for going back to 2020, since high-transmission areas can become breeding grounds for Covid-19 variants that could go on to evade Covid-19 vaccines.
“These clusters of unvaccinated people are what is standing in the way of us putting this virus down permanently,” said Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a CNN medical analyst and professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University.
Millions of unvaccinated people in the clusters About one-third of Americans have not received even a single Covid-19 shot – and the Georgetown analysis shows that these people are not evenly spread around the United States.

You are right.
Well said.
They are ginning up homicidal hatred against those of us who have chosen natural approaches to health.
That is one part of it.
Please say that often.
CNN is a broken clock. It can show correct time twice in a day.
Nope, my first languages are physics, thermodynamics and calculus. Those were more useful in designing production machines which are subject to more brutal shock loads than any other production machine in the world. English was of not much use at all.
You should NOT be linking to CNN because love it or hate it, every click puts money in CNN’s pocket. Quite frankly, I don’t understand the mentality of people who link CNN for second of notoriety.
(Yawns)
The only thing I’m confused about now is why you thought I was confused.
To defeat the enemy, you must learn about the enemy.
Which famous general said that?
I said “probably.” I have plenty of company in my belief, but it hasn’t been proven yet. Someone today told me there was absolute proof that the Chinese were involved in election fraud last November, and we will soon be seeing the report. So Chinese hostility is a given at this point.
The vaccine is not a poison. It is not perfect, but there’s a vast difference between imperfect and poisonous.
Look at the statistics. It’s all we have. The unvaccinated get covid and the vaccinated mostly do not.
You can try to argue that people are lying to us, but there is no way you can show evidence of that, because others can say the truth deniers are the liars.
general youtube exerciser entropy12... 😁

Let’s pay particular attention to who fires the first shot, this time!
The same general who said starve your enemy when your enemy is full.
I agree that those conspiracy theories are just bulls*it, but you can’t deny that there may be some legitimate concerns about the vaccines effectiveness or possible side effects.
Is that fully vaccinated? I don’t see how that could be right. Can you give the name of the publication and the date?
