A 12-year-old used a hunting rifle to fatally shoot an armed intruder who was threatening the boy’s mother inside the family’s Louisiana home, a report said.
The youngster, who will not be charged, feared for his mother’s life when he pumped a bullet into Brad LeBlanc, 32, at about 7:20 a.m. on June 30 at their home east of Clinton, East Feliciana Sheriff Jeffrey Travis told The Advocate.
LeBlanc, armed with a pistol, first approached the mother outside their home and then forced her inside the residence where a struggle ensued, the report said.
The armed suspect was then shot by the boy. LeBlanc was declared dead at an area hospital.
Two other suspected would-be burglars joined LeBlanc on the property and were subsequently busted a few days later, the report said.

Good job little man. I pray he won’t have any ill effects on his mental health from being put in that situation and having to do that. He did what he should have and he should not feel bad about it.

Well said. I hope the lad’s family will be sensitive to that, and get him a bit of help if he needs it.

He’d have worse effects if he hadn’t defended his mother. The only way he will have ill effects will be if he is sent to a “counselor”.
Keep him away from scum, aka, libs. They’ll have him second guessing saving his mom, his dad, his brothers and sisters, and Jesus Christ himself if he’d done that.

He’s a hero and I too hope he never feels one ounce of regret over probably saving his mother’s life or saving her from rape or whatever.

In some states, mom would be charged with failing to keep the rifle out of the hands of her son.
Why should he feel bad about saving his moms life? He’s a hero and unless he’s surrounded by therapists and sky pilots he should be fine.
It would have been worse if his mother had been hurt.
However, it’s a hell of a thing, killing a man. I’ve done my share, justly, and still it bothers me as a grown man.

I know this Sir, it’s just a hell of a thing taking a life, and it can have affect on people, I just hope he doesn’t suffer any, he did a brave and good thing. He did what men are programmed to do. Protect their loved ones.
I agree. But sending the kid to counselling will just result in another kid on psych drugs.
Hopefully they don’t live in a liberal state or area within. The state where the maggots in gov there will go after the family, for not locking up the gun.
