The United States Constitution did not grandfather in Chicago’s illegal restrictions. The possession charges are garbage and deserve to be tossed.
That said, I’m curious about why they were (allegedly) left out and sitting by a window. Maybe totally innocent, maybe not. If they have actual evidence this guy was planning an attack, then I’m glad it was stopped. If they don’t have evidence an attack was about to happen, they should be returning his firearms and apologizing to him immediately. Somebody get Alan Gura on the phone so he can slap Chicago around in court again.

Was there a fireworks display scheduled? It sounds like the room overlooks where the crowd would be. The article makes it sound like he was gong to snipe the crowd, hiding the rifles report with the fireworks. Kind of a mini-Las Vegas attack.
Good thing he’s on the FBI’s radar, now. (((eyeroll)))
