Government ethics watchdogs and art critics alike are voicing their concerns as first son Hunter Biden prepares for his first solo art exhibition this fall — where paintings from the former lawyer and lobbyist are expected to fetch between $75,000 and $500,000 and buyers will remain anonymous.
“The whole thing is a really bad idea,” Richard Painter, chief ethics lawyer for President George W. Bush, told the Washington Post.
“The initial reaction a lot of people are going to have is that he’s capitalizing on being the son of a president and wants people to give him a lot of money. I mean, those are awfully high prices.”

Joe wants his cut. That is all that matters.

I doubt that he’s producing all of this art himself. There’s a ghost artist team somewhere.

sparks ethics concernsBefinS. Nothing about the Bidens has ever sparked an ethics concern.

Ethics concerns?
What concerns?
By now it should be patently obvious to the most casual observer that the Bidens don’t have any ethics.

Its a money laundering scheme. The whole world is watching him, of course, so straight up payments to various shell-companies for “consulting” just won’t work.
But selling “art” for $millions? Its hoakey, but it works.
Its the same sort of scam as female politicians writing “children’s books.”

Bad idea? It's a GREAT idea!
How else is he supposed to take bribes and kickbacks, and keep the get flowing up to the Big Guy, and have plenty of those hot art gallery groupies in their monochromatic clothing and flat unwashed hair?

The “Art” seems a waste of effort. Hunter should just Auction opportunities to text him. Will raise a lot more money, less effort, same bidders, same beneficiary (big guy).

Ethics concern? With the Bidens? Naa, no problemo.
Everyone's first art exhibitions fetch prices in the high five to mid six figures. Don't they?
Just like every young business executive is able to treat his clients to rides on Air Force 2 at tax payer expenses. don't they?
Same as every young business executive is allowed to accompany the Vice President on foreign trips to meet with possible clients. Don't They?
And like every young business executive is able to have the Vice President of the United States intervene in foreign judicial proceeding on behalf of his business partners. Don't they?

$312 million for Interchange by Willem de Kooning(2015)
$274million for The Card Players by Paul Cezanne (2011).

But Hunter has that look all great artists have when he’s coming off a high and making calls for strippers to come to his Motel 6.
Hunter’s studies in facial expressions, his understanding of linear perspective, graceful lines, soft tonal contrasts, and a preference for soft colors show his outstanding talent, and a crucial aspect of Hunter’s development is his intense study of people, objects, and their surroundings “from life,” as is obvious in his earliest paintings. His artistic use of direct observation is exceptional and despite the constant evolution of his style, Hunter’s compelling descriptions of light, space, atmosphere, modeling, texture, and human situations may be traced back even from his latest works.
