A Private-School Sex Educator Defends Her Methods (Pornography Literacy)
NYT ^ | 07 07 2021 | Valeriya Safronova

Sex education is a sensitive subject. But during nine years at the prestigious Dalton School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, seven of which she spent as the director of health and wellness, Justine Ang Fonte seemed to be handling it with success.

She developed curriculums for students from kindergarten through 12th grade; hired three other health educators; and organized documentary viewings, discussions and workshops for parents. She also was a regular speaker at educational forums, like the National Association of Independent Schools’s People of Color Conference, and offered workshops and presentations at other New York City schools.

One of these was Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School on the Upper West Side, which in May invited her to teach two Zoom sessions, on pornography literacy and consent, to its juniors and seniors. (Bill Donohue, the head of school there, said, “there may have been confusion on our part about which course we would receive. We understood the course would be under the topic of ‘Healthy Sexuality Workshop.’”)

A couple of parents complained afterward, Ms. Fonte was told, but there had been about 120 students, many of whom gave her great feedback, so she didn’t dwell on it.

About a week later, she woke up to find herself featured in The New York Post: “Students and parents reel after class on ‘porn literacy,’” said the headline. That story was followed by another soon after: “Dalton parents enraged over ‘masturbation’ videos for first graders.” The articles included screen shots from Ms. Fonte’s lessons, a possibility in the Zoom-classroom world.

The material for her first-grade class never used the term “masturbation,” Ms. Fonte said recently. The lesson was about private parts being private and included a cartoon in which two characters use anatomically correct names for their genitals and say that sometimes it feels good to touch them. “It’s OK to touch yourself and see how different body parts feel, but it’s best to only do it in private,” the narrator tells viewers.

Anatomically correct names for their genitals? Why isn't the trans community outraged?

Actual “education” on this topic is extremely simple and straight-forward and can be covered in mere minutes.

Anything more than that is just social engineering to create people with abnormal sexuality.

They are normalizing sexual relations with first graders.

And they think the rest of us are the mean ones.

I wish the people who did this to our kids were on the receiving end of "sexual relations" with a bronco.

I grew up on the farm. I’ve seen animals doing all kinds of things. It was my sex education.

While the word "masturbation" may not have been used, nevertheless she is encouraging the children to masturbate. Even here, acting in private is only presented as "best." She leaves open that others may also touch one's privates. This woman should not be allowed anywhere near children.

My school board member failed to get filtering for my grandkids' ChromeBooks, with the result that they viewed pornography on their school-supplied ChromeBook.

But that's de rigeur, the schools have the sexual corruption of children on their agenda, not the least because in every instance of sexual corruption, some force is using it to control the population.

As did I. And off topic, I will say that a sow that has recently farrowed is a fearsome beast indeed.

F “methods” - she’s teaching pedophilia to children in violation of actual laws. It’s not HOW she’s “presenting the material” it’s WHAT she’s teaching.

Stop letting the stupid and evil ruin the world

Funny how teachers can get away with crimes that any private citizen would go to jail for.

Grooming children to become sexually active and thus more receptive to the sexual advances of an adolescent or adult...

The left is hell bent on the destruction of all “norms” so they can be replaced with new norms they desire...

Ugh. The only "sex" education I needed at that age was my dad simply saying "Billy! Stop touching your tinkle button!!"

I mean, how hard can that...er, I mean, how difficult can that be?

Is the Dalton School still “prestigious?”
Didn’t the late Jeffery Epstein work or have something to do with that school?
If Epstein worked there, it should be called “notorious.”
