Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday pushed for more Americans to get vaccinated amid growing concerns about the delta coronavirus variant.
"There's no good reason not to get vaccinated. We need to finish the job. And I know there's some skepticism out there, but let me put it his way: It may not guarantee you don't get it but it almost guarantees you don't die from it if you get it," McConnell said at an event in Kentucky.
McConnell has long publicly advocated for Americans to get the coronavirus vaccine, but his latest comments come as a USA Today analysis found that COVID-19 cases were up in nearly half of U.S. states and there are worries about the spread of the delta variant.

What do these talking heads know that causes them to push the vax? This virus, or virii is not as fatal as they promote. Either, they all truely want to kill off the global population, or some other nefarious thing is happening.

There has been congressional hearings with a number of Doctors some with Nobel prizes in virology telling them this vaccine is bad. Still you must take our vax

This is utterly untrue. There is no reason at all to get the vax outside of a very narrow demographic. Why is the vax so important to these people?

That is a really good question. They act like there’s a smallpox outbreak. And when you look at this in conjunction with the news that President-in-Thief Biden is calling for more lockdowns... you have to get the sense that they want to prolong this for some reason.

The age bracket they are proposing to give the cv19vx has pretty much a ZERO chance of dying of cv19 already.
Let’s hear a leader propose everyone getting their vitD blood levels tested, and optimizing those levels up to 60-80 ng/mL.
Since he seems to be proposing to be everyone’s health coach, let’s hear him encourage obese people to lose weight.
It likely comes down to the love of MONEY.
Mitch is genuinely worried that the Covid monster created by the left to take down President Trump is now going to crash his best Senate buddy Beijing Biden. God forbid more waves and lockdowns and deaths drag down the Rats in the midterms and then Mitch has to be the Majority Leader again. The horror!
It's not that narrow. I'm not in the demographic but I have monthly or more meetings (up to an entire day) with 50 or so retired-age people.
Why is the vax so important to these people?
Along with natural immunity, it's part of the overall herd immunity.
That said, I don't understand why anyone would claim any vaccine is risk-free. The mechanism of any vaccine either increases the risk of a similar illness (e.g. from the oral live polio vaccine) or allergic reaction or excessive immune reaction. People need the facts so they can decide their risk benefit tradeoff.
Trump promotes them too.
I still have not done so.
Message to Turtle, there already is a 99.9% survival rate if you get full blown COVID WITHOUT receiving the vaccine.
The vaccine comes with a lot of risk. It is not worth it considering we still don’t know the true impact it will have on your DNA years from now.
Why the blazes hell is the government pushing this vaccine? What are they not telling us?
