The far-left HuffPost is freaking over Tucker Carlson’s suggestion that cameras be placed in public school classrooms.

“Our little secret....”
If I were a parent, I would fight to allow parental observers in the classroom. Sit in a corner and take notes as to what is being taught. Don’t interfere with the teaching, but have the notes ready for the school board.
I think there are more than enough parents, or grandparents, who would sit in class for a couple of times a week.
Post COVID/Zoom, all government-funded teachers should be on camera when teaching.
We demand body-cams for cops
Cameras for teachers is the least that should be done
Public teachers unions are far more dangerous than cops.
I know several teachers that support the in class camera idea. Not over CRT but so parents and administrators can see what hellions they are dealing with everyday.
Every student should get a body-cam to wear to record the teacher! (No body-cam for the teacher; rather, video/audio recording of the teacher!)
all we need are kids in the classroom secretly video taping it
If it freaks liberals out, it’s the right thing to do.
Good works both ways.
“I would fight to allow parental observers in the classroom....”
Some parents are loud-mouthed jerks, not above trying to intimidate a teacher. It wasn’t a problem for me, I’m a big guy and was happily pretty well-liked by my students and their parents. But I have seen angry guys looming over the desk of a 120 lb teacher telling her how to do her job. And I witnessed three or four good teachers get hounded out because one parent didn’t like how their ‘miracle baby’, that’s how they referred to him, was treated in class.
It’s a tough call. Today with the ubiquity of phones, a teacher is not going to be able to get away with serious wrong doing in front of a class. I’d have no problem with a parent occasionally sitting in, but one sitting the whole year taking notes? I’d feel like I was on trial while trying to teach a class.
Not just one. They can rotate.
The rule would be that they can take notes as to what is being taught, but to try and interfere with the process of teaching would end up interfering and removal. That’s how I would want it worked. People should be able to see what is being taught in the classroom. Perhaps not a parental-observer, but a zoom camera that parents can access at will
Unfortunately, the Teachers and their union broke the trust of America and quit teaching the kids anything of value and more extreme measures must be taken if America is to reclaim its place as the #1 country in the world for kids to learn.
No more teaching that is more on par with Somalia in its quality.
No kidding. Excellent point!
It would be extremely embarrassing for mom and dad of little Johnny to see little Johnny be disrespectful of the teacher in front of the whole class and other parents.
It might help inner city schools, too.
According to studies I’ve read, 10% of teachers have been credibly accused of molestation, which is far more than Catholic priests ever were. If ppl only knew what a cesspool public education is, they’d pull their kids out ASAP.
Two cameras, one facing the instructors area from rear of class, one facing the class from behind the instructor. Both networked and accessible to parents. Accessible to any voter on request.
I had the opportunity to enter a classroom several times in the course of work duties. A zoo has more decorum than I saw in these classrooms, but the predominantly Amish classroom was beyond belief. It is absolutely unsurprising that they graduate to drive by shootings, as discipline was utterly lacking, and the teacher was helpless to ensure order.
I think it’s a fantastic idea! Parents have an absolute right to know what’s being taught to their children.
It’s been good for cops; it will be good for classrooms as well!
Those who object obviously have something to hide and are afraid of exposure.
“Public teachers’ unions are far more dangerous than cops “.
Truer words were never written.
If it’s good enough for police….
