For decades, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) with its propaganda has misled people to believe that the Party and China are the same. The Chinese regime also declares that it is the sole representative of the Chinese people, holding the 1.4 billion Chinese people hostage. Yet the CCP claims that the Chinese people have chosen the CCP. However, as of July 1, the centennial of the CCP, nearly 380 million Chinese people around the world have publicly declared that they withdrew from the CCP, as well as its associated organizations.
The head of the CCP, Xi Jinping referred to the “more than 1.4 billion Chinese people” in reference to the CCP at least three times in his speech on July 1st, and in this way, he tied the CCP and the Chinese people together. He claimed that the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people would not agree with “any attempt to separate the Chinese Communist Party from the Chinese people and antagonize them.”
The CCP’s long-term brainwashing effort has made it hard for many Chinese people to differentiate between the CCP and China, so that when the international community criticizes the CCP, some Chinese people call it “anti-China.” Many now believe that for a Chinese national to criticize the party is equivalent to being unpatriotic.
In July last year, the Trump administration proposed a total ban on CCP members and their families from entering the United States. After the news came out, the spokesperson of the CCP’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hua Chunying, claimed that this policy was “against 1.4 billion Chinese people.” Hu Xijin, the editor-in-chief of the CCP mouthpiece “Global Times,” also claimed that “there is no doubt that against all CCP members means it is against the Chinese people.”

...and yet , somehow , China managed to exist over a thousand years without the CCP.
That is awesome news, if true.
It takes as little as a 5% change to have a permanent and lasting change. If 1/3 the country has officially quit, that’s going to leave a mark.
I think you can thank Christianity’s inroads into China for this.
And just imagine if every one of those 380 million people had an SKS rifle and 1000 rounds of ammunition to tell the CCP to go to Hell with...
Those democrats, err, I mean communists, would be shaking in their Mao jackets....
I would be very happy to see the Panda Bear and his henchmen meet the same fate as Ceaucescu.
This is where the U.S. is headed with the current leadership in charge.
Am I reading this right, Chinese abroad are quitting the party? I don’t believe that for a second.
RE: Am I reading this right, Chinese abroad are quitting the party? I don’t believe that for a second.
What exactly is the process for QUITTING the CCP?
Do you sign a form? Is it available online?
Aye, I think the bias blinders are on with Epoch Times on this. They have a severe hatred for CCP, which is completely understandable and laudable, but it is sometimes hard to believe in a story that seems a bit too much like a narrative.
I’m very interested in this process of leaving CCP membership. If it’s so easy, then how can any trust someone abroad who says that they are not CCP?
Only about 8 percent of Chinese people are party members.
Only about 8 percent of Chinese people are party members.
I thought it was lower than this? Not arguing as I don’t know, but I had heard/read that many “family members” of CCP members or muckity mucks were automatically enrolled as party members despite no participation.
Correct me if I am wrong and thanks in advance.
Time to gin up another virus release. Leaving the Communist plantation is unforgiveable.
their families back home are hostages
i mean “leverage”
but plenty travel and are more than happy to spy for china
I’m not sure of the exact number, but joining the party isn’t easy. You need to be invited by a local party luminary and it unlocks many benefits for you in Chinese society.
It is a tool to reward loyalty and subvert possible threats.
CCP is AZZHOLE
The last time I checked I think it was around 6 to 8. Hard to know exactly.
So what! It is the Red Army that counts, not ex-CCP members. Remember, he who has the guns, rules!

New China, as they call it, has only existed since the 1929 foundation of the party and the beginning of the revolution under Mao’s leadership in 1931.
The China that existed before that was destroyed lock stock and barrel during Mao’s Cultural Revolution with the Great Leap Backwards and the Industrial Devolution focusing primarily on destroying every artifact & book that could be found - along with all practitioners of traditional culture.
chinese party like any party has turnover.
Latest numbers I’ve seen on the CCP has that its numbers have been rising for the last three years.
I’d prefer someone prove me wrong with stats.
