Biden removes GPA requirements for TEACH grant recipients in order grant access to 'students of color'

The Biden administration announced a plan to extend tuition breaks to future teachers and do away with GPA requirements for grant recipients to increase access for students of color.

"The proposed plan also aims to increase the access that students from low-income backgrounds and students of color have to comprehensive teacher preparation,” a press release from the Education Department says.

The Department of Education oversees the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) grant program, which administers tuition breaks to students studying to go into education so long as they agree to teach at schools in underperforming areas for at least four years.

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona announced that the grant money given to third and fourth-year students annually will double to $8,000.

He's said as much, verbally. “Poor kids are just as bright as white kids.”

Racist senile pedophile President.

Go ahead moron, pay incompetent people to remain incompetent and teach incompetence

So stupid “people of color” can teach at grade level to other stupid “people of color.” This stupid woke crap just cannot sink low enough, it seems.

In about ten years when we finally decide to really fight, it’s going to be so easy.

One wonders why blacks don’t see the hidden message, show some outrage, or are they only interested in the bennies?

Got it in one. Those blacks that see the message are shut up by the vocal lowlifes and say nothing rather than argue and possibly get shot.

In the 80’s I had learned that if I met a black engineer, he had gotten through school because he was black. Not because he knew the material. I was working for a military contractor and across from me sat a huge, muscular black engineer who had played football on a scholarship from Georgia Tech. His speech was peppered with “dis, dat, deeze and doze.” I knew he was an idiot who had gotten through school because he played football well. Then, one day we were in a crisis meeting about a failed system. This was a huge meeting involving most of engineering and management. We had a few clues and were discussing how to proceed and he suggested a possible cause and a way to proceed. The hair on the back of neck stood up. I wished I’d said that. I realized he’d taken a few facts we had, combined them with what he knew and leapfrogged to what I knew would be the right answer. He was totally ignored. Then, a few minutes later, white manager said almost the same thing, but minus the “blacklish.” Everybody hailed it as a stroke of brilliance. I watched “Dave’s” face. He was really pissed off, but said nothing.

Later, back at his desk I leaned forward and spoke quietly. I told him I realized how smart he was, but white people who spoke standard English would always believe someone who spoke like he did was an idiot. It would take an extraordinary effort and total attention on their part to see he wasn’t. His reaction to this was anger. He didn’t talk to me for, probably two weeks. I continued to greet him in the morning and say goodbye at night, as I always had. I got a frosty cold shoulder.

Then, one day he came into my cube and sat in my guest chair. He leaned forward and whispered an apology, He said he had hired a speech coach and was attending an English class. I was gracious and encouraging. I didn’t mention this, but his wife, a drop-dead gorgeous black woman, spoke perfect English and, I suspect, his reaction was because his wife had nagged him and it was, as he’d said, “his culture.” Acting “white” ran against his grain.

When I left he was managing a department with fifteen people in it. It was a well deserved promotion and he managed well.

But, the problem is, because schools have been passing people “of color” rather than weeding out the ones who shouldn’t, all of the black people who are worth their salt suffer from a well deserved pre-judgment. That’s because we seldom have the time or attention to separate the good from the bad. Having a degree was, originally, the way that separation was made.

Yes he is saying that. He truly is a racist.

And getting the “underperforming” to teach the underperforming?

Awesome idea, SlowJoe; you are the most underperforming president we have ever had.

If they could, the Democrats would pass laws forbidding POC (aka “colored people”) from being taught how to read and write so this is the next best thing.

First they removed discipline from schools, then they lowered the standards for passing grades and soon they will be teachers that are incapable of teaching how to read and write.

A long way around but the Democrats will have managed to put POC back to the late 1800s.

They won’t be happy until Public Education is the blind leading the blind (as it were). It is almost that way right now, but it can get worse. A lot worse.

Just what we need-teachers who can’t read or pass tests on basic academics turning out more HS graduates who can’t pass tests on basic academics-I’m sure their students will be hired for a position with responsibilities and excellent pay or accepted to a university to study engineering or physics right out of the box...

Terrific, underperforming teachers to serve underperforming schools. What could possibly go wrong?

“So he’s saying students of color are stupid.”

We’re told every day that they are, by the government. It’s amazing. They can’t get government issued IDs, they can’t get lawyers and accountants, they can’t pass academic tests. And, the big one, instead of pushing back on this crap, they jump on board with it. I guess the government is right.

What I don’t quite get is the complete lack of outrage by Black and Latino Americans at the Dems constant assertions that they are just plain too stupid to compete with Whites and Asians.
