The publication proposed a “three-stage battle plan” only a day after Chinese president, Xi Jinping, reaffirmed his pledge to reunify with Taiwan during a speech to mark the centenary anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The plan, published in Naval and Merchant Ships, outlined a rough three-pronged attack detailing the journey from initial disruption of infrastructure to the toppling of the Tsai Ing-wen’s government in Taipei.
According to stage one of the plan, DF-16 short-range ballistic missiles would be launched at strategic sites to eliminate the island’s defences.
The missiles would target airports, early warning radar, anti-air missile bases, and command centres to disrupt any resistance.
The article read: “The attacks against Taiwan’s airports would continue until [Chinese] surface troops had accomplished an assault landing.”
In addition, H-6 bombers and J-16 fighter jets would attack naval ports.
However, the report makes clear the naval areas would not be “completely destroyed” because the ports can be repurposed as landing sites for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
The second stage of the plan would involve a heavy bombardment using missiles.
YJ-91 and CJ-10 cruise missiles, unleashed from land, warships and submarines would target ammunition depots, communications, military bases and key road junctions to further disrupt Taiwanese forces and slow the advancement of reinforcements.
The paper then posits that drones would be used to assess the damage.

Sleepy46 wants to know what flavor jello is today. His words, not mine.
Perfect time for Xi to invade Taiwan. His puppet Plugs the Pedo will respond by bombing Mozambique.
If folks think there are chip supply problems now, wait til Taiwan is invaded.

LOL.
Taiwan should declare its independence once and for all, else negotiate reunification. I really don’t see that it is a matter for us to be involved in, not our concern any more than whatever happens to Hong Kong. What does matter to us is whether we do business with China, a communist enemy. No, we should not. Yes, easier said than done, but we need to send all Chinese home and take real steps to stop buying products made in China. How about we buy American, maybe help build plants in the US and in central and south America?
China knows the U.S. government is so compromised, ethically and militarily, that Uncle Sham will stand down if the Red Army attacks Taiwan. We’ll huff and puff and issue stern condemnations but that’s as far as it goes.
If we do anything more serious than that, they’ll just drop a nuke on California and the American capitulation will begin immediately afterwards. So, if you can’t get a connection with FR some morning, turn on your news and watch your country’s leaders fleeing like rabbits while they blame everything on Trump.
I’m awaiting the news that the ROC has nuclear weapons from bombs to missiles, mines, and drones.
Don’t think the leaders of Taiwan have been sleeping all these years. Only one did in the past and he was a classmate of mine there when he was young and not afraid of Red China. I was sorry to see him turn “soft”, but there’s a new gang in town and they mean business, nuclear business.
Won-Ton now isn’t a food. Its nuclear explosive power.
That is where I would place my money—from Clinton on it should have been evident that “Taiwan alone” was a necessary strategy—and with over two decade to prepare, they should be ready to roll.
I don’t see anyone beyond possibly Japan and Korea offering anything accept nominal moral support.
And they’ve probably turned the mountains and valleys into slaughter houses, like Switzerland did prior to WW2. The PLA won’t like the meat grinder they’re walking into.
If chip production from Taiwan is interrupted we are screwed. If Taiwan chip production is controlled by China, we are subjugated.
Some think that China will invade simply to gain control of the chip fab facilities. It is a short cut to world domination. That is one reason it matters.
This is all the continual psych ops to push the narrative that the takeover is inevitable and so don’t interfere or resist.
I’d wait for Kameltoe. She’s somehow dumber than Dementia Joe.
if China was serious about invading why would they telegrapgh?. that said they won’t get better conditions to do so given joementia in the whitehouse.
Nuke China , first strike
All they did was recite boilerplate invasion plans. Attack command and control, assault, leaving infrastructure that they might need intact. Assess damage, adjust as needed.
if China was serious about invading why would they telegrapgh?

The scum CCP is trying to provoke Taiwan into attacking first, which would then justify China “retaliating” by taking over the island.
China’s continued incursions into Taiwan’s airspace are part of the strategy. Keep poking, poking, poking until Taiwan defends itself, thenChina launches an all out attack in “retaliation”. The owned US media would call this “justified’.
Leaving a third option: we, or the Taiwanese destroy chip making capability, denying the Chinese what try want. They obviously know that that is an option.
