According to city data, there have been 41 homicides in Minneapolis so far in 2021. That is a 46 percent increase on the number for the same period in 2020. It is more than double the average for the same period in the ten years from 2010 to 2019 — 16.
Violent crimes more generally are up 29 percent for the period since the start of 2021 compared to the same period last year. Indeed, violent crime in this period of 2021 is up 44 percent from the average of the same period for the ten years from 2010 to 2019.

When you throw a cop in jail essentially for life you show the street thugs whose side you are on. The side of the street thugs.
When you give a cop murderer a light sentence based on his race and religion, and on the fact that he murdered a blond White woman, you tell the street thugs whose side you are on.
So there’s more crime. The cops should not try to prevent street thugs from doing what they do. Go in afterwards and take pictures and notes.
How thoughtful of Democrat Alexandria Occasional-Cortex to tell the families of Minneapolis murder victims that their loss is just “hype”.

Our government did the same thing pre WW II. They didn’t try to stop Hitler as he was only going to hurt and take over just a few countries. Prior to our entry into World War II, Germany sought to defeat its opponents in a series of short campaigns in Europe. Germany quickly overran much of Europe and was victorious for more than two years. And we all know what happened there...Millions were killed and dominated while we tried to use diplomacy.

AOC says it is important “that we look at these numbers in context.” What is the context for murdering a six year old and a nine year old? Were those deaths just collateral damage in the march to a more equitable society?
