WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – China has begun constructing over 100 new ballistic missile silos near the city of Yumen in the province of Gansu, US media reported.
A total of 119 almost identical construction sites in Gansu show elements featured by existing Chinese launch facilities, the Washington Post newspaper reported, citing commercial satellite images obtained by researchers at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey, California. According to experts, the number of new missiles for these silos could be much smaller.
“If the silos under construction at other sites across China are added to the count, the total comes to about 145 silos under construction,” Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies, a part of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, told the Washington Post.

One time I was watching the comment area to an anti-China rant on Facebook, and many commenters of several different mostly East African nationalities noted that when Chinese start moving into villages, the wild dogs in the area vanish. Many village-living Africans detest this. They grow up befriending the packs of dogs and it angers them to see them being taken away as food.

And, why are we surprised? Just heard a Chinese researcher from some institute in Australia commenting on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party and what its’ goals are today - a leading place in world affairs, a growing economy, peaceful relations with other countries, etc. bullshit etc.
Biden and his administration only know three things about Communist China - wontons, COVID bats, and kaotaoing, not that Red China is the existential threat to world freedom from now on, with Russia trailing only slightly behind for reconquering Europe, not just the Eastern part.

The CCP does NOT intend to nuke us, rather kill off 200 million Americans using genetic bio-weapons of which covid was a dry run to gather data. They would prefer to do this rather soon, like in the next 10 years before the old Revolutionary Guard dies off.
After that the CCP will move millions of Han Chinese to America, taking the clean air, water and land they openly covet - like rapacious evil locusts. This plan is not what the Chinese people want, but what the CCP wants; the people have no say - if they step out of line, they are beaten, arrested, beaten some more, tortured, imprisoned, shot, disappeared or worse.
You cannot kill the CCP by blowing up stuff in China, just the ordinary people who hate the CCP will die.
IMO, this is an admission that the CCP cannot master the nautical engineering and skills necessary to produce “boomer” subs and SLBM’s. Land-based silos are a very poor substitute, witness that the US has long de-emphasized them.
