NEW YORK — A grand jury in Manhattan filed criminal indictments Wednesday against former President Trump’s company and its longtime chief financial officer, according to two people familiar with the indictments.
The indictments against the Trump Organization and its CFO, Allen Weisselberg, will remain sealed until Thursday afternoon, leaving the specific charges against them unclear. Earlier Wednesday, people familiar with the case said the charges were related to allegations of unpaid taxes on benefits for Trump Organization executives.
Weisselberg is expected to surrender Thursday morning at the office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr., a Democrat, two people familiar with the plan said. He is expected to be arraigned later in the day in front of a state court judge. The Trump Organization will also be arraigned, represented in court by one of its attorneys.
The criminal charges against the Trump Organization and Weisselberg are the first to result from the investigations by Vance and New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, and represent a dramatic turn in the long-running probes.
Attorneys for both the Trump Organization and Weisselberg declined to comment Wednesday.

Almost all companies give perks that aren’t taxable as part of status and in lieu of compensation. That’s not “avoiding taxes” (which is a perfectly legal thing to do ANYWAY) that’s alternative means of compensation. This is not at all analogous to a company paying everybody under the table and off the books.
Obviously - this was entirely “on the books”.
As a life long accounting person-—This is way off base. I don’t know of a single company that doesn’t at least give free parking to senior employees.
They are going to threaten him with a couple of centuries in prison, in hopes that he will decide to turn against Trump. They really think if they arrest him it’ll end the Trump threat to them. They have no idea what that could unleash, I don’t think anybody does. But it won’t go the way they imagined in their little leftist fantasies.
They’ve been leaking this nonsense for weeks. Total political hit. Time for red states to stop doing business with banks based in NY.
So, being indicted for not paying taxes on fringe benefits? Are they going to go after Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton Foundation? I am sure she didn’t pay taxes on her wedding dress or wedding expenses paid by the foundation.

I used to work for a fortune 100 corporation with several large offices in the DC area. Everyone employed by the corp was given free parking, and mass transit passes for those who wanted them.
How odd? I remember when I got a relocation package from my employer which happened to not categorize things properly for tax obligations, the agency who’s name I do not repeat came after me the individual for the tax liability. They never came to our companies CFO! AMAZINGLY PARTISAN BULLSHITTERY on the part of Cyrus Junior Pants.

I would be very interesting if someone subpoenaed both James and Vance’s office/election records to see if fascists/Marxists like Soros, Bloomturd, Steyer, etc. funded any political campaigns by these two leftist creeps?
James has a majority political desire to be governor, and Vance has a personal grudge of somekind against Trump. It is time to see who their financial backers and possible money-launderers are.

Cyrus Vance Jr, he’s a far leftist and totally corrupt District Attorney of New York. He refused to indict the serial rapist Harvey Weinstein for years because Weinstein was a big fundraiser for Democrats.
