Election officials in New York City admitted on Tuesday night that 135,000 test ballots in the race for mayor had been mistakenly counted as real ones.
The discovery came after mayoral election frontrunner Eric Adams questioned the ranked-choice results after his lead in the Democratic primary went down to a mere two points over rival Kathryn Garcia.
After 11 rounds of ranked-choice vote tallying Adams, a former police officer and Brooklyn borough president, was declared to be leading former Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia 51.1 per cent to 48.9 per cent.

Republicans try to steal their own primaries too. They aren’t as good at cheating as their RAT overlords.
Plenty of examples of Democrats ballot stuffing their primaries.
They’ve also run phantom candidates to siphon votes in the primary.
Republicans launch false attack ads against their opponents and do other things but I don’t find ballot stuffing.
The Republicans also try to steal each others electors. Remember how Cruz was trying to steal the primaries that Trump won?
LOL = why would democrats limit their voter fraud to Republicans?
It’ll be fun watching toadies in the press deal with this...
Ron Paul’s electors played that game first
You rank your choice for the office in order of preference. Why? I don’t know.
Yep, now hat you mention it!
Here we go again, no wonder people have NO trust in the integrity of elections in Democrat corrupt cities.
Love this story. Adams winning could have brought the Rats back to their senses on the out of control crime problem THEY have created. Especially with their Precious Minority voters. Instead the Rats look to steal another one for their leftist idiot anti-police base and even the Stupid Party will be able to drive an 18 wheeler thru this opening in the Midterms.
This could open the door for Curtis to win if the Dems “pick” another police hater for Mayor.
Thankfully, this will be the end for ranked-choice voting.
I couldnt agree more. Enactment of ranked choice has been a liberal wet dream in recent years. One man, one vote, one choice is so much more straightforward
What IS “Ranked Choice”?
This exploit was publicly revealed in 1978. Worse, a couple years later, it was discovered that a certain sequence of inputs on the user (i.e., the *voter's*) side would cause an unmodified machine to roll ALL the votes it had tabulated to one party or the other at the user's choice, with no record this had ever taken place.
There’s reasons why the company went bankrupt within a couple years of these discoveries and the voting machines were taken out of service pretty quickly.
I get that people are nostalgic for those monstrous relics of the 50s and 60s, but they absolutely sucked for election integrity. We do NOT need to go back to them.
Best option I've seen so far is ScanTron based. Digital tabulation, but physical records and users can photograph their particular ScanTron if they want to make sure it doesn't get altered in someone else's hands.
And yet Bill Barr laughed at Trump saying voting fraud it’s all nonsense. So I guess we should just put blinders on and move along nothing to see here! This is so evident that elections can be stolen in a heartbeat. Someday maybe not tomorrow next year two years five years from now the truth will come out.
There’s some ostensible reasons for it, but the real reason is so they can exclude other parties. If the Dems run at least two popular candidates and they get more primary votes between them than anyone else, the final election is between two Dems and no Republican or other choice is offered. With the current system, every party that qualifies gets to put their candidate on the final ballot - the voters actually get to choose between parties.
Bill de Blasio promised Garcia the job so he had to do something ,LOL
They could just recount without the 135,000 test ballots but that’s not the Demonut way ,LOL
