LAS VEGAS (AP) — For the first time in the pageant’s history, the title of Miss Nevada USA has been won by a transgender woman.
Kataluna Enriquez was crowned the winner Sunday at the South Point hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
The 27-year-old Enriquez won the Miss Silver State USA pageant in March, a preliminary competition for the Miss Nevada USA pageant.
She beat 21 other candidates to represent Nevada in the Miss USA pageant that will be held on Nov. 29.

Some sick sh*t.
So, it’s a guy.
I’m sure the Women who lost are thrilled for him.
So men are better at being women than women are? Hmmmmm...
Oh no...
How disgusting...
This does not reflect very well on the female population of Nevada.
Does she or does she not have a ‘package?’ Inquiring minds... Only a crotch shot-close up- will suffice.
Not good. Fight back, Ladies.
You are about to be steamrolled in the name of ‘fairness’.
Just don’t even participate in
such contests.
No pic.?
Can I please return to the universe I came from?
Has this dude completed his “transition”?
Does Miss USA have a swimsuit competition?
I can’t wait for the memes if this dude parades down a catwalk with a potato in the sack.
Shame on NV, using the antiquated “Miss”. Shouldn’t it be “Mixx”, “Mixy”, or whatever appropriate letters they’re supposed to use? [/S]
Women can’t compete in any competition these days.
WTBA? (I’m not lookin’ at it!)
I think that county fairs should allow entries into the produce contests of waxed fruit. Some of them look delicious!
Ha!
I meant:

A kind Freeper gave me a rubric by which I can decode what this means: in this context, “trans” means “fake.” That’s quite helpful when you are trying to figure out if it’s a crazy dude that thinks he’s a chick or vice versa.
Most of the male judges are metro or full gay.
Its a pageant. Thats the kind of guy who likes this crap tothe point of wanting to, and working to become, a pageant judge.
What I noticed starting in junior high school was, the people who “won” things, or got awards, were not necessarily the people who obviously deserved those things. Even then, I understood that awards and “wins” were political.
On a higher scale, Yasser Arafat got a Nobel Peace Prize. So did Obama. Neither deserved it. But the people giving it were signaling that they, the givers, were “in” or virtuous.
The “trans” thing is our culture going through a cyclic insanity. Twenty years from now people dressed as “trans” will look as fashionable as bell bottoms and granny glasses.
