Johnson & Johnson confirms opioid business has ended in $230 million settlement with New York
Cnbc ^ | June 26 2021 | Emma Newburger

New York Attorney General’s office said the agreement bans J&J from promoting opioids through any means and prohibits lobbying about such products at the federal, state or local levels. However, Johnson & Johnson said it had already exited the business. As part of the settlement, the company will resolve opioids-related claims and allocate payments over nine years. The settlement follows years of lawsuits by states, cities and counties against major pharmaceutical companies over the opioid crisis, which has killed nearly 500,000 people in the U.S. since 1999.

So just when does America wake up to the evil of our drug dealers? Big Pharma is no better than the street drug dealer. For the vaccine Nazi’s, think long about J and J and their jabs, their motives are not pure, clean and righteous…they are not to be trusted. They promoted opioids for decades, just like they do their poisonous experimental jab. Corruption is at an all time high in every single sector of our society…if you can not see this, go back to sleep.

China is licking their chops. Our legal system is chasing more pain sufferers straight to the fentanyl China underwrites. China learned from the Opium Wars, and is doing to us what the British did to them.

China killed that many in less than a year.

Just saying.

Opioids dont kill by themselves. No more than guns kill by themselves. Someone has to be careless with them or intent on using them to kill someone. The opioid crisis is a black heart problem.

So if you suffer with chronic pain, you should take a couple of aspirin and just deal with it? Oh wait, aspirin can kill you too. Overreacting to protect people from being stupid is such a great idea. Drug abusers can still get all the fentanyl they want on the street, straight from China but good luck getting something through legitimate channels. Just like guns, take them from honest people so only criminals have them.

Will this make it harder to get opiates now?

My mother died of bone cancer a year ago - the ONLY thing that gave her comfort and ease was morphine. When it wore off, the pain was unbearable.

And this is something I could never understand..
You are terminal.
You are at the end of your life.
You are in excruciating pain.

But, we can’t give you opiates because you may become addicted?

My mother’s doctor also told me one of the greatest risks of giving the elderly any type of opiate is theft - from family members.

When my aunt was dying of COPD (opiates allowed her to breathe more easily) - she was only allowed two or three pills per prescription - meaning someone had to constantly go out and get her Oxycodone for her. The pharmacist said it’s because she lived in an area with a high amount of addicts - and again, most of the thefts were from family members.

I had a young friend, he was around 40, that recently died from bladder cancer. He called me absolutely livid one day because he had called the doctor’s office for a refill of whatever pain drug he was taking and the nurse he talked to said......well it’s too soon to have your refill done, we space them out so you don’t get addicted. He’s like....I’m dieing! What difference does it make if I’m addicted! He died maybe a month later.
It is so sad what they are doing to normal people who are just trying to avoid pain.

And what’s behind the thefts? The price of the pills on the street. The more they restrict supply, the higher the price, and the more incentive there is to steal.

Portugal has it right. No War on Opioids. Let the addicts kill themselves. Problem solved. Anybody hooked on hard drugs is suicidal anyway.

The government failed completely in it’s duty.

J&J made a drug with some worth. The government’s whole cause for regulation is to ensure responsible use of drugs. Instead the regulators got billions of dollars from J&J to look the other way. Now once busted, they then have to pay the regulators billions more.

J&J can’t state on the stand they bribed politicians to let them do this. So they have to sit back as the finger is wagged at them and hope the politicians they bribed stop at settlements and not criminal penalties for the execs.

People want to know why executives don’t go to jail? It’s not corporate personhood. It’s politicians knowing not to push too hard against their money.

You won't see that truth on MSM. FakeBook and Twitter would probably ban a person for repeating it.

Very well said.

The “painkiller Nazis” simply do not care if patients are in severe, agonizing pain. They don’t approve of opioids so, by god, opioids should be outlawed.

They don’t care that many people require painkillers to be a functional human being. When one is in serious pain, they don’t feel a “high” from the pills. The meds just provide enough pain relief for the patient to live a somewhat normal life.

It’s a sick world when painkilling meds are outlawed while unnecessary, unproven vaccines are pushed on American citizens.
