Venezuela is a good example. I used to work with a couple of fellows who were from there. In the 90’s they enjoyed a comfortable middle class lifestyle. They left around 2000 to come to Texas and will never go back.
The only rich people in those countries are the rulers.

My perception is that a lot of younger Blacks see it. They see the Corporate media manipulation. They see that these people are trying to use them as pawns for their own purposes.
They are going to be very reluctant to cross the aisle though unless the MAGA forces crush the RINOs and take firm control over the Republican Party. We (MAGA/Populists) need to continue to reach out to them and point out that open borders, sellout trade deals, perpetual wars and Wokeism are all pushed by the Democrats, not us. They and not we are the party of Wall Street. We are the party of Main Street.
I think older Blacks’ tribal loyalty to the Democrats is unshakeable, but that generation is slowly dying off and those 45 and under are not nearly as monolithic.
I’ve been there and watched it with my own eyes.
Especially with the women. Very proud to be able to dip the fingers into that ink.
Unfortunately, the corruption in Iraq has reached new and disgusting levels. Initially the people were proud that they finally had a say. Soon the thieves showed up, realizing that there were billions and billions for them to steal from the oil, other countries and investments from private corporations.
No different than here.
Go to the Kurdish north and the place is doing ok. Safe. Nice hotels. Things are good, compared to the rest of the country.

I’m not arguing. I watched it. It was amazing.
I was with election monitors.
On State Dept Leftist commented that the Iraqi elections were more organized than the ones she’s voted in, in DC. She wasn’t joking.
We do biometrics for darn ear anything else, you want it to be secure, transparent and confidential, show ID and put your index finger on a scanner.
Folks want to argue that they don’t want the government to have that info. Fine. Those folks are ignoring what the government knows about all of us.
