“Kevin Love is on the team because of tokenism,” the former NBA star, who has the Renaissance Man column and podcast host for The Post – said on his “Jalen & Jacoby” podcast Thursday. “Don’t be scared to make an all-Black team representing the United States of America. I’m disappointed by that.”

If a white had said that about a black on ESPN he would have been fired a minute after the words left his mouth. Rose is a worthless puke.
Race baiting gets attention. Has Kevin Love made 5 all-star teams due to “white tokenism?” I see Big Mouth Jalen made ZERO all star teams in his NBA career.
Still spoiled from his Fab Five days at Michigan.
“Love’s better years are long gone”
Probably, but he had a calf injury much of 2020/2021. So throw out the stats
2019/2020 He has solid numbers not much different than the preceding years. (17 points, 10 Reb per game) 5 time All-star.
Rose is a white hating drunk!
This is in your face racism. It’s a power trip game for blacks now. They say something racist and outrageous about white people knowing whitey can’t do anything about it.
I’m sure this individual knows he can get away with his stupidity based on double standards. It is up to the ticket-buying public and sports viewers, many of whom are white, to stop supporting these individuals and products.
This reminds me of something that happened years ago involving the late John Thompson, the longtime Georgetown basketball coach (and someone who had issues with white people). One of his teams was all black, with the exception of a white walk-on player named Brendan Gaughan. Brendan was the son of Michael Gaughan, a well known casino owner based in Las Vegas. The Gaughan family controlled the slot machine concession at the Las Vegas airport. When that was being rebid, the airport required a minority set-aside. Voila, the Gaughans give 15% of their machines to John Thompson.
Quid pro quo? You decide.
As it turned out, Georgetown U and the NCAA would not let Thompson get involved with the McCarran Airport slots and remain the head coach. Thompson left Georgetown soon thereafter.
I may have to pay for the ESPN channels in my DirecTV packages, but that does not mean I have to watch their crap. I don’t watch ESPN any longer.
I won’t be watching one second of the Olympics, but I hope they are blown out in every game. Humiliated.
That sentiment is extended to the rest of the so-called “American” woke athletes.
I guess I won’t be supporting the team....
It’s down to 12% now, apparently. 12 do 80.
Seems kind of strange when black dominated sports teams think discriminatio’s OK because the teams are only interested in talent but the push in on by black “equity” folks that company boards must be diverse and inclusive regardless of a person’s ability to perform the tasks required of a particular position.
Jalen Rose is a Racist.
Fun fact - Deandre Ayton - who is a good player - is not a U.S. citizen, and so is ineligible to be named to the U.S. Olympic team.. He's from the Bahamas, and has even played for the Bahamian national team in the past.

This is completely public information, but it seems Rise was too lazy to do a bit of research before race-baiting.
Current scouting report on Kevin Love, from a guy (me) who is not an expert but has seen most of his games with Cleveland, and knows the sport pretty well. Love is past his prime, when he was VERY good, but is still well above average offensively. At 6-10 he is. A fine 3-point shooter. He sees the court very well and is a very good passer. He doesn’t take bad shots; he wants his team to move the ball. He’s still above average though not what he was as a low-post scorer. Some of that is due to how the game has changed; some because Cleveland didn’t take full advantage of his low-post skills because the egomaniacs James and Irving were better fit to different offensive schemes Love is still an excellent rebounder. He has slipped some defensively. He wasn’t a great defender, but he was much better than given credit for. He didn’t always play hard on defense. But when he wanted to, he was pretty good — like in Game 7 of the 2016 Finals when the Cavs upset Golden State. The Warriors scored 89 points. Only 5 of the points were Love’s responsibility — that includes pick-and-Roll actions, closing out on shooters, one-on-one defense, fouling — everything. It was much Moore than his memorable defense against Steph Curry on the Warriors’ next-to-last possession. Also in the last 2:30, on two other possessions, Love played strong defense in the paint and both times made excellent close-outs on Iguodala and Green, forcing missed 3-pointers. The next day, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said Love, designated as the “power forward,” scored just 9 points (he took just 8 shots) and that Golden State’s “power forward,” Draymond Green, scored 32. Hey Stephen, Green took just two shots when he was Love’s responsibility, missing both. Green made six 3-pointers, none against Love. Part of Cavs game plan was to play Green soft against the 3, but not to just simply leave him alone. Someone was still accountable defensively, and if I remember correctly, it was James and. J.R. Smith 5 times. Cavs outscored Warriors by 19 points with Love on the court. Warriors outscored Cavs by 15 points when Love was off the court — and James and Irving were on the court most of that time. Cavs easily lose that game and the title witoLove. Also did so much that “doesn’t show up in the stats.” Yes, that’s ancient history, but when healthy, Love still brings enough of that to justify being on the Olympics team. I am very sorry to write so long, but I am tired of stereotypes and false narratives.
Doesn’t matter. The NBA’s finest American players can’t play as a team and will likely settle for Bronze.
Kevin Love used to be good but injuries took a toll on him. So why is he on the team?
Do I care what Jalen Rose or anyone on ESPN says?
No.
Should Love be on the Olympic team?
Isn’t that the question?
Jalen Rose’s racist remarks bring attention to the lack of diversity and inclusion in the NBA.
Rose came to national attention with his involvement with the greatest cheating scandal in NCAA basketball history at the University of Michigan. UM is currently embroiled in a sex assault scandal with 850 and counting victims.
