The “delta variant” has come to dominate headlines, having been discovered in India where it provoked an extreme surge in Covid-19 cases before spreading around the world.
But now a mutation of that variant has emerged, called “delta plus,” which is starting to worry global experts.
India has dubbed delta plus a “variant of concern,” and there are fears that it could potentially be more transmissible. In the U.K., Public Health England noted in its last summary that routine scanning of Covid cases in the country (where the delta variant is now responsible for the bulk of new infections) has found almost 40 cases of the newer variant, which has acquired the spike protein mutation K417N, i.e. delta plus.

“delta plus” and “delta triple plus” sound like the content of late-night infomercials ...
That’s what that was....
The sorority...
““Covid is also acting differently now,” Spector noted in a YouTube briefing last week. “It’s more like a bad cold in this younger population and people don’t realize that and that hasn’t come across in any of the government information.”

.
Right.
A bad cold.
Everybody run and hide.

What is the definition of "getting sick"? What is your source?
If it is true that 5000 were exposed but 350 got sick, then that’s still over 90% effectiveness.
I am pretty sure that is not how effectiveness is measured. Per the initial efficacy tests that earned the Pfizer shot EUA status....
There were 2 populations: 20K in the unvaxxed group and 20K in the vaxxed group. 8 people in the vaxxed group and 160 people in the unvaxxed group ended up catching Covid in the next few months after they got the vax.
8 is 5% of 160 and thus the 95% efficacy. By your measurements, the shots would have been considered 99.9996% effective. (8/20,000)
I appreciate the thoughtfulness you have been putting into defending the shots and the government narrative. At the end of the day you will be either proven right or proven wrong. It is looking more and more like you will be proven wrong. I am sure you will say "but, I was given bad data" OR "they were lying to us the whole time. How could I have known?"
I really wish you went into your analysis with the instinct of disbelieving what they are selling and that the people releasing the research, the new stories, the data, etc... all have ulterior motives and cannot be trusted to tell the truth.
Of course, this is not to say that EVERYTHING is a lie but they are definitely steering the narrative by providing selective information.
You simply don't censor people who are debating science (as the state run media and tech are doing) unless you are afraid of where that science may lead.
“You need to wear two maks and getcher Delta Plus booster in the fall. Also, buy a pallette of toilet paper and a 10-gallon mini-drum of bleach.”
Hai-yoooh! :D
People started pointlessly asking each other, “Which vaccine did you get?” Now they will be asking “Which variant do you have?” Alpha +++++ is supposed to be the best, I guess.
