A Daytona Beach, Florida, police officer is in critical condition after he was shot in the head Wednesday night, authorities said.
The officer, identified as 26-year-old Jason Raynor, was responding to a suspicious incident at the time, the department said.

I live in Wakulla, County, Florida...just south of the capital, Tallahassee. That’s about 257 miles from Daytona Beach. My phone has alerted me to be on the lookout for this man several times. The phone tells me nothing about why, just to call a phone number if I see him.

First time I received a “blue alert” on my phone. Info was posted on every overhead message board along the highways and there were random cruisers parked along the highways with their lights flashing. I also presume the “toll by plate” cameras would trip an alarm if they detect the tag of this perp.
