On Friday, June 25, the world will learn to what degree the American criminal justice system has collapsed under the weight of liberal guilt and leftist terror.
Friday is the day Judge Peter Cahill will impose sentence upon former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin for the May 2020 "murder" of George Floyd.
The prosecutors have asked Judge Cahill to sentence Chauvin to 30 years in prison – two times the upper end of the sentencing range – and Cahill is likely to give them much of what they asked for, perhaps all of it.

I don’t recognize my country anymore. We saw this train approaching a long time ago — but then it happened really fast.
Yes, this is a lynching, but when 47%+ of the population believe the corrupt MSM and live by Tik Tok the population will never wake up. You watch, this will be “reported” with wild celebretory inflections.
With as much fentanyl as he had in his body, he probably would have died if the police never showed up that day.
Ever since the coup d’état and the overthrow of our government I’ve thought a great deal about political prisoners. Mostly I consider the hundreds of political prisoners being held without bail and without trial as a result of the 1/6 protest to be a perfect example of what an American political prisoner is.
But I need to broaden my perspective. Derek Chauvin is also another perfect example of a political prisoner. He is an innocent man who was hung out to dry for political reasons.
And they think they have a hard time recruiting police now....
He had a chance to avoid this vicious lynch mob but he chose to not to.
Big Rat MSM made this possible. And that’s mainly ATT, Comcast, and Disney.
Unless a Federal court is brave enough to do the right thing here that cop will die in prison....and it won’t be of natural causes.
Also,he’s certain to get a Federal sentence as well...20 years perhaps?
Chauvin should have gotten 10 years for manslaughter. He was still a cop. He was a dumb@$$ and his excessive use of force ended up getting a many killed.
@man
He had a chance? You mean as in flee the country?
Perhaps he should’ve Epsteined and/or McAffeed himself.
Ahh. I see we have another CNN watcher on the thread.
Your MSM approved viewpoint is completely devoid of facts and of the truth.
“that cop will die in prison.”
There are a lot of circumstances that will support an appeal. Tomorrows sentence will be mooted.
Not sure why the author thinks the judge will give the prosecutors most of what they asked for. The judge seemed to recognize the issues with the case. We’ll see tomorrow.
Mooted? Did you notice my having mentioned the word “brave”?
What the Nazis did to the Jews, Democrats will do to us.
It has already begun.
Hell I don’t recognize FR much anymore....let alone the country.
It shouldn’t be 30 years but it won’t surprise me if it is.
