All Brandi Levy needed was a good spanking from her father.

The question before the court was if the cheerleader was Hot or Not. Justice Thomas looked at the evidence, explaining his dissent.

Why the heck did that have to go to the SCOTUS?
The very first ruling (every subsequent one...) should have been “It’s not a threat to the school or to a student at the school so it is none of the school’s business.”

I can't believe the comments I'm reading. This isn't a minor issue. This case is about the 1st amendment and your right to free speech without retribution.

Do you believe if you go to school or work the school and business have the right to punish you for what you say outside school and work?

They don't.

This is a victory for free speech and a blow to cancel culture.

A long time ago, there was the concept that what you did on your own time was ... well, YOUR time and you could do any legal activity. You know ... freedom.

Then the left starting pushing their cancel culture and they are trying to change it so that you have to conform to their agenda, not only at work, but in school, home and out in public as well.

Good to see that people are getting tired of this BS and are pushing back with lawsuits. Will it be enough? I dont know.

This is a critical ruling!
It says free speech extends to social media.
ie you can’t attack or ban people from employment based on what they say on social media.

Seems like a lot of people forget that these First Amendment cases don’t reach the Big Bench because the people involved are pleasant and admirable, and gosh darn it people like them.

It really doesn’t matter how foul and despicable the ‘speaker’ might be, they still have their First Amendment rights. And NOTHING in the Bill of Rights says anything about limiting those rights based on age.

Which brings up other interesting questions, of course.
