Biden administration should send lethal aid to Ukraine immediately, - US Armed Services Committee

The US House Armed Services Committee supports the immediate transfer of lethal military equipment to Ukraine. This is stated by the Committee Ranking member Mike Rogers and House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCau.

“The United States should not wait for the Kremlin to cross anymore ‘territorial red lines’ in Ukraine before sending additional military assistance to Kyiv. Instead, the Administration should send this lethal aid immediately to deter further Russian aggression," the statement reads.

According to the committee, Biden administration has time and time again chosen to appease the Kremlin at the expense of Ukraine. That is why the committee advocates the immediate transfer of lethal weapons to Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, the Biden Administration halted a package of lethal military equipment to Ukraine that was put together in response to Russia’s military escalation in and around Ukraine this spring.

Later they denied this information, but admitted that the non-provided backup package still exists.

The package included short-range air defense systems, small arms and other anti-tank weapons.

Playing with fire.

How about the Kremlin sending lethal aid to the Taliban or Cartels?

The US-Russia relationship is of enormous strategic importance to both countries.

And to the world.

The US-Ukraine relationship is important to Ukraine only, as the US has no interests of any kind there.

Ukraine should be abandoned to their fate, which is probably assimilation into Russia...from whence they came.

The service committee members need to be hauled out and strung up on the nearest lamp poles. This is not in our interest.

“....from whence they came...”

I don’t think it is in our interest for the USSR to re-establish. It was a great victory for freedom loving countries when the USSR broke up - thank you President Reagon.

Should we be sending lethal aid (arms) to the Ukraine? I dunno. Sometimes this international power politics stuff goes right over my head.

But I find it interesting that when the Soviets sent lethal aid (missiles) to Cuba, everyone in the United States went crazy. And it damn near started a major war.

As long as RINOs continue to suck-up to the Russia war-mongering narrative, it will continue to be a stick the Democrats and deep state use to beat them.

That would make Chechnya look like a Sunday School picnic. The Ukrainians I know have some very, very long memories.

Bingo-

Or better yet, they send lethal aid to Venezuela, Cuba, etc. where we think it is our backyard...

Like it or not, Ukraine is part of their “sphere of influence.” That’s their backyard.

In fact, by violating what we promised and agreed to, may it be NATO expansion Eastward, stationing US troops in former East block nations, or missile defense, we started this antagonistic relationship. We are the ones that lit this fire again.

When Russia was down (1989 ~ 2005), we took full advantage of the situation and walked all over them, in disregard of agreements which no one seems to remember or mention anymore (missile defense, NATO East expansion, US troop stationed in former Soviet states). US troops in the Republic of Georgia, equipping them... That would be like the Russians giving arms and providing advisors to Puerto Rican separatists.

Then the greedy Euro’s eyeballing Ukraine as a possible future EU member years back, the Ukraine wanting to join NATO (there was talk already)... No. It was **us** that kept pushing, pushing and pushing.

Right after we inspect their investment portfolios and those of their immediate families.

Ukraine needs to just accept that the coup was able to gain control of a significant part of the country. Overthrowing the government doesn’t entitle you to rule everything the former government owned.

And the main reason for the war in eastern Ukraine was to get the people who overthrew the government in Kiev out of town, and as many as possible dead.
