Inevitably, the demonization begins. DeSantis will be the new Nazi, the new fascist, the new Hitler, the new racist, the new dictator, the new Russian asset if he emerges as a leading contender for 2024.

I think you misread Scarborough. He is not trying to marginalize Trump, but trying to marginalize DeSantis. His loaded use of the term “taking over” the Republican Party suggests there is something sinister or back-handed about it.

Say what ever you can to keep Trump from running in 2024. If he isn’t reinstated before then and runs again you won’t be able to cheat enough. The landslide will be bigger than last time and won’t be able to get by with it again.

Joe will start loving DeSantis, vote Republican again, and hope Fox will hire him. Of course, he went Left when Fox rejected before, so.....

Almost all the decent people of Plano have fled to Allen/McKinney/Frisco in the last 6 or so years.

Pretty soon, we’ll all have to move to Oklahoma.

It seems to be DeSantis vs. Abbott, with DeSantis being well ahead.

You’re right about Trump’s age. The voters will not go for another aged person in the presidency after Biden has been in there for four years (if he lasts that long). They’ll be looking for someone younger. Trump’s had his chance. He’s remade the Republican party—totally changed the brand. He’s accomplished what needed to be done. Now, he should just step aside and look after his businesses.

DeSantis has guts. Pair him with Noem and they’d be unbeatable.

He’s trying to cause a problem between DiSantis and Trump.

They don’t care except to cancel their white husband or ex-husband’s vote.

We know there will be a Presidential election in 2028. If Trump elects to run in 2024 and wins, his VP has the inside track to get the 2028 nomination, especially if Trump endorses him/her.

If Trump loses, then DeSantis still has the best shot for 2028. He is up for re-election in 2022 for Governor. Assuming he gets re-elected in 2022 for four more years, DeSantis will still be in office in the event Trump loses in 2024 with him on the ticket. The bottom line is that DeSantis has nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

The Dems have bigger problems in 2024. President Harris will be a weak horse hated by many. Without the benefit of massive election fraud, she won’t make it regardless of whether Trump or DeSantis is the candidate. If the Dems lose the House in 2022, you can expect gridlock and lots of investigations into the Dems with a GOP controlled House.

The last time that a Vice President won the presidential election after serving his 8 year term as VP was George H.W. Bush. Since then, it's been Clinton, Dubya, Obama, Trump and now Biden. So it's been five Presidents in a row where we've switched political parties back and forth.

So if Trump wins the election again in 2024, it would be tough for DeSantis to get elected in 2028 in that hypothetical sxenario.

I agree with you on this. I don’t believe, for a SECOND, that Scarborough would EVER praise a Republican.

DeSantis is an excellent governor, probably the best one in the country.

I totally agree. As I’ve said before, he’s the best Florida governor in MY lifetime.
