MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Tuesday said the GOP might have a new leader in the party on the heels of Donald Trump’s presidency.
Scarborough, reacting to former Vice President Mike Pence’s mixed reception at the recent Faith & Freedom Coalition Summit, said he heard Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) “was like a conquering king.” He added the governor “is taking over the Republican Party

I don't know if DeSantis will win over the soccer moms/wine drinker vote, but my concern is that he may not do as well as Trump did among Hispanic and black voters. Trump did better with black voters than any GOP Presidential candidate since Nixon. In Texas, majority Hispanic counties were actually won by Trump or showed narrow Biden victories. These counties had voted strongly for the Democrats forever before Trump came along. Can the loss of Plano or Round Rock be offset by winning Corpus Christi or Brownsville?

As far as I can tell, DeSantis is much like Trump in policy with a more polished personna. Concurring bump...DeSantis would also bring a string of accomplishments and a core team of experienced administrative staff with him to the White House.

Plano isn’t, and hasn’t for awhile, been a white city. It’s mostly asian/hispanic. The paki/india kind of asian too.

Always overstated and now approaching myth. They have gotten a wake up call as all Americans.
The bell ain’t stopped ringing. Not by a long shot.

DeSantis for President, and Trump for head of the FBI! Haha. I love that. How about relocate the FBI headquarters to Chicago as well?
To: ChicagoConservative27
Trying to drive a wedge between Trump and DeSantis. Won’t work. Trump is the present and DeSantis is the future.

Trump will have only one term. DeSantis as VP provides the continuity. In fact, Trump coiuld step down midway/three-quaters thru his term and hand it off to DeSantis who then becomes the incumbent for 2028.

Who knows what will happen in 2028? We might see Barack Obama Jr emerge from nowhere to become President. Sometimes you only have one shot and that's it.

You'd think Scarborough would be proud, since he represented Florida, too.

Scarborough can burn in hell. The lefties are scared to death of DeSantis; you can hear it in the way they laugh.
It's a good thing, and it's going to get better.

Fact. Most important to them [suburban women] is that they are seen as smart, independent and virtuous. Ironically, voting Democrat indicates they are none of those things. Ding...ding....ding!!!
We have a winner!!!
