Some people just want to be miserable and unhappy. Wish everyone else would just ignore them.
Never apologize in situations like that.

Juneteenth isn’t a day about demanding apologies.
It’s a day to celebrate freedom and possibly to remember those who came before you and didn’t have it so good.

That sign is completely appropriate. And as for freedom given to black people? That’s exactly what happened. My Republican ancestors fought and died to give blacks freedom. Let’s never forget, every Juneteenth, blacks should thank white Republicans for what they have been given.

Actually, given the history of the Civil War and the abolitionists movements and the moves against Slavery in Great Britain by Wlberforce and others...that verse has far more to do with the Juneteenth celebration then most would even suspect. The complainants may know it; at least the demonic forces controlling them know it. Yet they don’t want blacks to know it lest they realize that the full force of their freedom comes from Christ and not from the suffrage of the nanny state!
