Biden struggles to detail post-withdrawal plans

The Pentagon’s top brass have insisted the U.S. military will conduct operations launched from outside the country if needed, but they’ve offered few details on logistics such as where those troops would be based.

The lack of specifics came into focus Friday when the Afghan government's chief peace envoy warned that the Taliban will not have an interest in reaching a peace agreement with Kabul after American and NATO forces depart.

The remarks come amid reports that the Taliban are quickly reclaiming territory they had lost during the 20-year conflict, putting more pressure on the Biden administration to spell out how it plans to provide support to Afghanistan’s government after all U.S. troops exit the country by September.

During a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing Thursday, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said there was a “medium” risk that an extremist group such as al Qaeda could regenerate in Afghanistan just two years after U.S. forces leave the country.

US should be destroying terrorists everywhere in the world, not retreating. After 9/11, someone predicted this war would take decades and the threat would never be eliminated because US will not have the stamina to keep fighting terrorism.

So far nobody has figured out a post withdrawal plan in 20 years. It’s why we’re still there.

Look to Democrat history, and you will find your answer. Same thing they did to Vietnamese.

I think it is a given once we leave, the Taliban returns to the territories it occupied before 2001. We achieved our mission within the first 3 months of the war in this land of the caveman. That is, to send a violent message of bombing from the skies and turning the Northern Alliance on them as a way of telling them should they have terrorist training camps again, they could expect more of the same. Bomb and leave the rubble behind as a reminder is the most successful policy when dealing with these neanthethals. It was when we switched the mission to trying to civilize them and bring democracy for the next 20 years that we lost this thing.

The better and more accurate title is “Biden struggles”.

Biden struggles

Let's just leave it at that.
It should pretty much cover any story regarding Former VP Biden.

I suggest it is way past time that they decide their own future. They can either surrender or fight, but on their own. They will live or die, but not another American should die in a war without end.

“We’re leaving tht shiitehole country. It was a mistake going, and a giant mistake staying for 20 friken years. I don’t care what happens there when we’re gone.

The end.”

Correct. Our withdrawal from Vietnam was a disaster ... for our Vietnamese allies. We betrayed them. Watch The Tabliban slaughter our allies in Afghanistan. No one in DC will shed a tear, but will look smug and all-knowing.
