The Biden administration is moving several anti-missile batteries out of Middle Eastern countries as the Pentagon shifts its strategic focus away from the region and toward China and Russia, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
The newspaper, citing officials, reported that approximately eight Patriot weapons systems are being moved, most of them from Saudi Arabia. Batteries are also being moved out of Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait.
In addition, the US is pulling another anti-missile system, known as Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), out of Saudi Arabia and reducing jet fighter squadrons in the Middle East.
“What you’re seeing is a realignment of resources with strategic priorities,” one official told the Journal, adding that the US still has “tens of thousands of forces in the region, we still have forces in Iraq and Syria, those forces aren’t leaving. We still have our bases in the countries of our Gulf partners, they aren’t shutting down, there is still substantial presence, substantial posture in the region.”
According to the Journal, the moves began after a June 2 phone call between Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as the country’s minister of defense. A Pentagon readout of the call, during which Austin reportedly told the crown prince of the withdrawals, made only a passing mention of “bilateral efforts to improve Saudi Arabia’s defenses.”

Paving the way for Iran and its proxies. Saudi Arabia needs to get closer to Israel and they need to cripple Iran before Biden sends them even more money and technical assistance along with probably intelligence on where and when to attack the Gulf States, SA and Israel.

Most of those defensive weapons were positioned to defend the corrupt 9/11 Saudis from the agressive mullahs of Iran. The Saudis are pathetic. Despite all their wealth, weapon systems they have acquired and the training given them by the US, they cannot defeat stubborn Yemeni tribesman who are supplied by Iran in their own backyard.
The reason the US is withdrawing from the Saudis defenses has more to do with the Biden cabals policy of placating Iran and sending an oblique message to Israel.
The so called “Abraham Accords” which is really a defensive pact between Israel, the Gulf States and the Saudis against Iran has never had the support of the globalist Biden cabal and these actions are also meant to weaken it.

We’ll see the Democrat’s hypocrisy on full display when they cheer Biden for this. After they screamed bloody murder when Trump wanted to withdraw troops from the Middle East.
That place is going to be the wild west before Biden is done.
There is no treatment for this Democratic Party political pathology, except a crushing electoral defeat - which is not going to happen.

The Obama/Biden Administration released the Leadership of what would become ISIS from the Camp Bucca internment facility near Basra, which lead to the largest refugee movement since WWII, and the destruction of the major City of Mosul (about as populous as Los Angeles).
Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen where fundamentally ruined; but many others in the region paid high prices as well - a decade or a generation in lost economic growth.
That team knows how to wreak havoc on a grand scale - and they have proven willing and eager to do so.
