Last month, Washington Post columnist George Will proclaimed, “I would like to see January 6th burned into the American mind as firmly as 9/11 because it was that scale of a shock to the system.” For Conrad Black, George Will “seems to have taken leave of his senses,” and the comparison wasn’t even close.
On Jan. 6, 2021, a few hundred people entered the U.S. Capitol and caused “relatively minor damage.” On Sept. 11, 2001, a “meticulously planned” terrorist assault with hijacked airlines claimed 3,000 victims. To all but the willfully blind, there could be no parallel.
“September 11, 2001, was a day of unprecedented shock and suffering in the history of the United States,” proclaimed “The 9/11 Commission Report: Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States.” “The nation was unprepared,” notes the 2004 report, including the agency that should have been the best prepared, the Central Intelligence Agency. Before 9/11, “no agency had more responsibility, or did more, to attack al Qaeda, working day and night, than the CIA,” but the bosses wanted more money.
CIA managers “believed they desperately needed funds just to continue their current counterterrorism effort,” the report said. To some officials, “the CIA’s leadership did not give sufficient priority to the battle against Bin Laden and al Qaeda.” After CIA director George Tenet obtained a supplemental appropriation, “the CIA still believed that it remained underfunded for terrorism.” On the other hand, the report leaves little doubt that the CIA underperformed.
Information from the National Security Agency (NSA) and CIA “often failed to make its way to criminal investigators.” The intelligence unit of the Federal Aviation Administration was supposed to receive “a broad range of intelligence” from the CIA, but didn’t.

What’s burned into my mind is how a massive conspiracy headed by a schlemiel named Podhorzer orchestrated the Crime of the Century by stealing away a landslide victory for the sitting President.
Anyone who thinks little Georgie Milquetoast is a “conservative” has to have rocks for brains.
There is no way, not in a thousand years would I accept the government’s narrative on 9-11. When they were available,I watched all the documentaries on you tube...conspiracy theories?!
Some, the BS meter red-lined, others were absolutely believable. Such as, Airline Pilots for Truth, and one where engineers disproved the ‘official’ narrative.
I have since tried to watch these again and did not come up on search results. If anyone has info regarding this pls post.
It seems that Will maybe right, but not in the way he meant. 1/6 was a well orchestrated terrorist attack by the FBI.
This probably isn’t one of them, but I just thought I’d give it a try.

The problem with any powerful organization is, it gets targeted by people who want to use that power for their own ends. The targeting is relentless and generational. Note the number of government employees who are in the same offices their parents occupied before them. (This came out during the Comey affair.) Thus the top officials in the FBI seemed to be working on getting rid of Trump exclusively. Just the thousands, yes, thousand of texts between between the FBI lovebirds means that they spent significant time talking about and acting on getting rid of Trump. Remind me what they were supposed to be doing? If you said protecting the American public you weren’t paying attention to the FBI’s new mission. Now, on to the CIA. Recall how the CIA tried to undo president Bush’s narrative, about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq...which was based on CIA reports.
The problem with agencies being corrupted for other uses is so large that we’d be better off as a nation if we got rid of most of the government agencies. When there’s an emergency and only critical government workers are allowed to come in to work...well, those are the only government workers we need. Anything else can be done by contracting it out of competitive bids.
The CIA, FBI and all the rest failed the country. And they are proudly carrying on that tradition. We are 9 months fully ripe for a collassal mega attack.

Reminded of that gobsmacking idiotic statement from George Will, a man I once admired so much. In my admittedly not very important book, he has completely and utterly disgraced himself.
The CIA also got us involved in Iraq when their then director told GW Bush that finding WMD’s in Iraq would be a “Slam Dunk”.
George Will is a “wordsmith” of considerable skill. He explains the simple with complex prose that just becomes a tribute to his immense ego and feelings of self importance. I know 2 plus 2 is 4. George Will knows 2 plus 2 is 4. Before saying this he would go through different numerical base systems (ours is 10 but any number will work)
I suspect his greatest worries are how his twisted prose will be accepted on the Washington DC cocktail circuit of press and government elites. He thinks he is one of such. He is not.
That the dancing Israelis were let go, and Saudis were evacuated by US aircraft when our airspace was closed to civilian traffic makes mincemeat of the narrative.
Because Obama reset the CIA as a communist arm and staffed it with anti-Americans.
