Former President Donald Trump endorsed the primary opponent to Sen. Lisa Murkowski on Friday, declaring his support for Kelly Tshibaka Alaska's former commissioner of administration.
"Lisa Murkowski is bad for Alaska. Her vote to confirm Biden’s Interior Secretary was a vote to kill long sought for, and approved, ANWR, and Alaska jobs," Trump said in a statement. "Murkowski has got to go! Kelly Tshibaka is the candidate who can beat Murkowski—and she will. Kelly is a fighter who stands for Alaska values and America First. She is MAGA all the way, pro-energy, strong on the Border, tough on Crime and totally supports our Military and our great Vets."

Fingers crossed!!!
Hope his people vetted her thoroughly. It’s a big step. Sarah taking a pass was cowardly.
The Cow is gone. She just does not know it yet.
People need to do more than cross their fingers.
Alaskans need to repeal Ranked Choice Voting.
And go back to dumb voting machines.
There’re two reasons Alaska and Maine have RCV and those machines: Murky and Collins.
Those two aren’t going anywhere until Deep State wants them gone, or until the citizenry in both states wises up.
Even an Alaskan moose would be a better choice.
Isn’t there a Republican candidate for Senate in Alaska. There has to be someone better than the Murkowski/Tshibaka types.
Is she actually MAGA all the way?
No. She’s an East Coast opportunist.
Bout the only thing good about her is she isn’t Murkowski.
She’s better looking so there’s that.
But Joe Miller shoulda been the Senator.
Go Kelly!
Dump Suckowski before she does more damage Alaska.
Murkowski must go!!
Not in 2022. The GOP is overwhelmingly MAGA. There aren't any more "moderate" republicans whose combined votes with Democrats will give Murky the win like what happened in 2010. Not one single Trump voter is going to vote for Murky. Not a single one.
This is a very effective means of attack - very personal to Alaskans - because getting that through was one of Murkowski's big selling points for herself and she actually worked very hard to achieve it...then participated in tossing it away by her vote to confirm that Cabinet Secretary. There's little case Murkowski's supporters can make for keeping her in office now.
FYI, this headline is somewhat misleading as there is no longer a party primary in Alaska - one jungle primary where the top 4 finishers make it the general election, and with second choice voting. That will be Murkowski’s strategy - finishing second overall but courting the Democrats to make her the second choice to try to put her over the top.
