Victoria's Secret has done away with their world-famous Angels supermodels.
The lingerie and comfort wear company has said goodbye to the models, who have for years, famously strutted down the runway wearing over-the-top ensembles featuring feathers and rhinestones that weighed in at nearly 30 pounds, the New York Times reports.
In their place, Victoria's Secret has launched a campaign with high-profile women known for their accomplishments rather than their figures.
Soccer star Megan Rapinoe, freestyle skier Eileen Gu, model and advocate Paloma Essler, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, transgender model Valentina Sampaio, model and South Sudanese refugee Adut Akech and photographer Amanda de Cadenet are among those to spearhead the campaign, according to the outlet.
The women will work with the retailer to redefine what the word "sexy" means as the company faces competition and pressure to be inclusive of women with various body types – not to mention internal strife.
Now, Victoria's Secret hopes to become a global "advocate" for female empowerment, their chief executive Martin Waters said, per the Times.
"When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond," said Waters. "We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want."
The women included in the new campaign will be known as the VS Collective and will focus on advising the brand, appearing in ads and promote the retailer on social media.

Spoiler alert: Megan Rapinoe is one of their new models. CEO Martin Waters says -- "We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want."
Somehow I think she is the one to wear the strap on
I’ve been reading about this and I think Victoria’s Secret is probably going to make some progress on this.
Why limit your target audience to just beautiful young white women? There are plenty of ugly lesbians and trannies that have money to waste on overpriced underwear.
Maybe they should get Bruce Jenner to model for them.
And then one of their new “models” is former Ms. Universe Priyanka Chopra who is still hot at 38.
Get woke, go broke.
“The women will work with the retailer to redefine what the word “sexy” means . . . “
I don’t need any company or another woman to tell me what sexy means.
A company soon to file chapter 13 and close it’s doors
Sexy was around way before VS, VS doesn’t have the power to redefine.
Transgender models, eh?
Victoria’s Joke.
Another loser company.
Bye-bye, the wife will not miss you. She still believes in sexy.
I give them two years to bankruptcy...
How dumb can they be? Who’s making these decisions?
This while onlyfans is worth 1 Billion... maybe onlyfans could sell pretty lingerie for pretty girls.
I predict doom for VS. It will become associated with smelly, inked, and pierced anti-American lesbians. No way my wife is shopping there any more.
How about octogenarian models? Don’t they deserve a fair representation?
What a losing strategy.
"Very Nice!"
Classic commercial.
I can definitely accept Priyanka Chopra in a thong, but the bull-dyke Rapanoe is beyond the pale.
Short LB > prolly good for 15 points.
In 1965 a nonfiction book by Arlene Dahl called Always Ask a Man: the Key to Femininity came out. She was an actress who kept her beautiful looks for a long time.
That was when it was believed a man would be able to figure out what he wanted and desired on his own without "woke" feminists and LGBTQ explaining what he should want.
“Sexy was around way before VS, VS doesn’t have the power to redefine.”
They may as well try to redefine the universe.
The outcome will be the same.
