It really takes some balls to, er, I mean guts, to show your face again after being caught on a company Zoom call pleasuring yourself. Most people wouldn’t do it, but then most people wouldn’t feel the need to drop trou in the middle of a work event and take care of business, then actually do it in that same room. If people did, they’d likely be smart enough to leave the room with the camera attached to the computer on which they’d just been talking to everyone they work with only moments before the frisky coffee break. Then again, most people aren't CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin.
On the list of things that are obvious firing offenses, going to town on one’s self in front of colleagues, either in person or on a video chat is not on any list. Not because employers encourage it, but because it’s so, well, obvious. No one needs to write down “Don’t play with yourself during work meetings, even in breaks” because who would do that?
Jeffrey Toobin would do that, it turns out. (For the record, it was already widely known that Toobin is a bad person. He had an affair with the daughter of a colleague at CNN, got her pregnant, tried to bully her into getting an abortion, denied paternity, only changing his tune when DNA left him no choice, all of which embarrassed his wife beyond anything…until that Zoom call.)
What would normally embarrass someone into moving to a remote cave somewhere just a few years ago, is now just one of those things that happened. While he was fired from his job at the New Yorker magazine, the company that was hosting the Zoom call and whose employees were subjected to the visual, CNN simply suspended him for a while.
Even though we live in a world where accusations are enough to be people fired from every job they hold, even if the accusations are from another job or an old job, CNN kept Toobin because to fire him for this obvious fireable offence would be to impose some level of standards on employment at CNN. And standards, no matter how low, are not something anyone at CNN can meet.
In other words, if they enforced a standard against Toobin, they’d pretty much have to fire everyone at the network too. Once you have standards people have to meet them.
Chris Cuomo couldn’t meet any standards. As a self-proclaimed “journalist,” Cuomo played footsie with his brother, New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo, in interview after interview while his brother was ordering senior citizens to their deaths in nursing homes. That inconvenient fact simply never came up in between giant Q-Tip jokes and calling Andrew “The Luv Gov.”
That last part is ironic since 9 women, all liberals, accused Governor Cuomo of sexual harassment and/or assault. Seems not everyone wanted the “luv” from the Gov. And, famously, Chris the “journalist” helped his brother develop and implement a strategy to survive the scandal, urging his brother to attack the women. A far cry from CNN’s embrace of “believe all women” and “Me Too” just a few years earlier.
Chris Cuomo should have been fired. But because of CNN’s strict “We have no standards” policy, he wasn’t even suspended.
The stories of CNN employees belching out Democratic National Committee talking points, using anonymous sources that later prove to be wrong, or simply embarrassing themselves and their employer are legion.
Network face Jake Tapper proudly ranted about how he’s refused to have anyone who didn’t vote to certify the Electors in the Electoral College on his show, ever. Then a bunch of Republicans who voted against certification began tweeting screen captures of emails from Tapper’s producers nearly begging them to come on the show. Tapper tossed his staff over the cliff and moved on, no consequences.
CNN employs a Weeble named Brian Stelter spends his time critiquing Fox News, uncritically echoing whatever is fed to him by left-wing activists while appointing himself the arbiter of what constitutes journalism. Not only does his show rate lower than the Close-Ups Of Infected Wounds channel, he regularly embarrasses himself with his selectivity. CNN clearly doesn’t even enforce the appearance clause of their contract with him.
If CNN were to have fired Jeffrey Toobin because he violated their standards it would be an admission that they have standards, then the whole house of cards for the Atlanta-based Cable News Network would collapse.
Speaking of, speaking truth to power ...
Older folks remember when we didn't want to sin, because it's sin, and there are consequences for sin.
Modern America is about to learn that lesson all over again.
“CNN Couldn’t Fire Jeffrey Toobin for One Simple Reason...”
Because they are all a bunch of jagoffs.😎
They didn’t want to be a jerk?
“...after being caught on a company Zoom call pleasuring yourself...”
At least he didn’t do it in the middle of an in-person staff meeting....although I wouldn’t put that past democrats.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
They didn’t want to rub him the wrong way?
CNN
Consensual National Necrophilia
By the way, Canada’s CBC is a repeater station for CNN. The leftist whackos at CBC like the Toobular Transitions.
You can hear their Zoom Call activity on their open mikes even thoough the screen in blank.
Like their news service, its just onanismic drama. One is equated wit the other. Thats why their ratings are so low.
They are “dead man wanking.”
I’m still unclear how/why Toobin isn’t in jail. Is indecent exposure not a thing anymore?
That we’re even having a discussion about Toobin’s presence in the media anywhere simply underscores how hopelessly broken society is today, particularly the part of the society that is effectively controlled by the media.
It’s like he had his hands gripping around their neck ready to choke them. The little squirt.

Is that wrong?
Jeffrey Toobin must have some serious dirt on executives at CNN and ATT.
Well written about trash talking self-loathing CNN.
Where did I read that before...
Oh, yeah... I wrote it three days ago!
Who says they don't all read FR?
Toobin obviously has deeper problems than the LAAP-dog media are willing to admit. They are focusing on his most recent exposure scandal, but are ignoring how he had several affairs, impregnated a coworker's daughter, then tried to bully her into getting an abortion, and finally denied being the father.

Congratucasualadulations! Yes, it isn’t attributed, but ...hey!
So, ABCNNBCBS is now supposed to have “standards” ? To be enforcing standards? Yet my social media feeds (Quora, Reddit, YouthTube, Twitter, Facebook) keep telling me that Faux News is so stupid and out-of-touch!
/sarchasm - That gaping whole between a liberal and reality
From now and forever, known as 'toobin'.
So who’s the sick one in that “relationship”?
The left doesn’t see anything wrong with what tooobin did. The left wants all standards of right/wrong regarding sex eliminated.
Except when it’s a Republican White male who says “You look nice” to a female employee. Then he is fired.
I dunno. Tubin’ is really right where he belongs.
