The Ad Council, in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has launched a campaign urging Americans to continue to wear a mask until they are vaccinated.
Per a Tuesday press release detailing the campaign:
The campaign, supported by a grant from The Rockefeller Foundation, is an extension of the national ‘Mask Up America’ campaign, which throughout the pandemic has aimed to increase compliance and acceptance of wearing masks and face coverings as one of the main prevention behaviors in order to slow the spread of COVID-19, and including vaccination, social distancing, and hand washing.

I’ve successfully ignored the Ad Council for my entire life. No reason to change now.
Too bad you/we can’t ignore them with our tax $$, too.
Masks are like stopping a mosquito with a chain link fence.
Although....they do cause breathing and skin irritation problems, so there’s that.

That's got to be a big part of it. I'm like you in that I don't do TV and the hysteria really has seemed a bit over-the-top. Mass media explains it all, and television, I think, even more so than the other varieties.

Yup. And folks with anxiety issues were forced to wear them as well, causing further anxiety issues, but by golly noone on the left gives two rat poos about their mental health.
