Governor Abbott has already called for help from surrounding state governments requesting police/other help.

Easy for her to say! She’z not putting her livelihood on the line. She is not risking a 6x9 federal lockup for unlawful detention of an illegal or being charged with aggravated assault by garnishing a firearm to stop a group of illegals.
Remember Jorge Bush called the Minutemen “vigilantes”? The swamp will do it again, especially with Merrick Garland at the helm of the DOJ, Chris Wray at the FBI and Chipman at the ATF.
It’s been tried. Even having ranchers invite militia on to their private land as a deterrent. Uncle Sugar was just waiting to round them up.

Trump is the first Republican president - ever - who surrounded himself with immediate family who had his back and - more importantly - are conservatives themselves.
In fact, other than Michael Reagan, can anyone think of an outspoken (or even soft spoken) conservative member of a Republican First Family that’s not named Trump? I sure can’t. They all turned out to be Democrats in Republican suits.
