I remember a tabloid, about 1968, saying that JFK survived the shooting, but was brain damaged. Considered “dead”, Jackie married Onassis, and JFK lived out his life on the island, died in the late 1960s, and was buried at sea.
They had telephoto photos of a man in a wheelchair with his head wrapped in bandages.
Years later, the US government released photos of a dead JFK on a gurney, taken in Dallas.
I wonder what the Russian files looked like after the Fall of the Soviet union?

With all the books and scandals written about this I agree it was the commie Oswald that did it.

WML was way before my time (millennial here), but I’ve watched many episodes on YouTube. Quality, classy program that would never be made today. Today’s American audience is too ignorant and the celebrities are too trashy to make something on that level.

I think the JFK assassination was one of the first recongnizable joint operations indicating the melding of the deep state with organized crime.
I never would have believed that the CIA and or FBI could have been involved.....until I saw what they did to Trump.

She went to a restaurant and told friends out loud “This is the evidence I have and the interview pages that will blow the JFK secrets to smithereens and I’m excited because it will make me really famous in history.” Mistake.
Ridiculous attempts at making her death look like a combination of sleeping pills with alcohol-—but it wasn’t.
One item: She told friends a book she hated but pushed herself to read to the end and shook her head and said “I won’t get back those hours wasted reading that dreadful book.” And the Deep State set up guys stupidly placed that book in her lifeless hands in bed as if reading, but it was upside down. And friends said she never really slept in that bed anyway, it was just set up but she really slept in the other room. the notes, drafts, interview pages and all the rest were gone.
But Cronkite just *knew* it had to be some right-winger who did it.
Yep.. until he reluctantly had to admit it wasn’t.
