The terrorists rode on motorcycles to the home in Afghanistan. They wore masks and carried guns. They came upon a little boy, grabbed him by the neck and demanded he bring them bread. If he didn’t, they would harm him and his family, they said.
The little boy was 9 years old. He had never seen a gun before. He was scared. He did as they asked.
That interaction, decades later, could prove to be a death sentence for Zalmay Niazy — an Iowa Falls man and the little boy in that story.
A decade after the day he brought a piece of bread — “A piece no bigger than a cell phone” — to those terrorists, Zalmay Niazy, who had learned English as a child, worked as an interpreter for U.S. military forces in Afghanistan. He did that for three years, from 2007 to 2009, putting his life in danger both at work — he was wounded in multiple bombings — and at home, where Taliban forces threatened him and his family. The Taliban in 2008 made good on its threats, killing Niazy’s uncle, he said.

Vietnam...Iraq...Afghanistan...there have been “locals” who have helped us. IMO these people should be treated with gratitude by us. Of course there can be exceptions.
I wonder how many single military age Muslims have been admitted as “refugees” in the last last 5 months?
You helped the military..Dems hate the military..You should die for what you did to dems.....
This is messed up, if the U.S. doesn’t protect people who risked their lives to help us. How many US service members are alive today because someone like this helped us?
Easy solution. Leave the country and sneak back in illegally. Then they’ll let him stay.
I had an Uber driver who spoke several languages. He was from Afghanistan, and he helped the US military as a translator because he didn’t like what was going on in Afghanistan. But eventually bad guys who knew what he was doing We’re going to kill him, so they gave him a Visa to come over here. With his knowledge he could have been doing something better than driving an Uber and he was waiting for something. Hopefully hes doing something better today
...on the next episode of “The United States of Al”...
They got paid. We don’t need to be bringing everyone who helped us in Afghanistan over here. First of all, half of them only did it for the money and are no friends of ours. But probably haven’t renounced Islam. When we grant asylum, next they’ll bring over all their cousins, brothers, kids etc.
Quit saying we owe them, and explain to me how they will make life better in America.
I’m calling BS on this incomplete story. First, he came here illegally. Second, how would anyone know about the piece of bread story. There is more going on here.
Change his name to Martinez, leave the country and turn around and sneak back in.
The idiots running the immigration system under the democRATS will treat you better than if you were our ally.
Not only will they let him stay but the will give him welfare, college education and many other necessities for free.
His mistake is being too honest with democRATS. They only believe in lying, cheating and greed. Only Republicans believe in hard work, renovating your home and starting your own business.
Get with the program.
You are probably right.
Send them to Puerto Rico. Or Guam.

No need to apply, they just come across the Mexican border by the dozens according to an article earlier.
Everybody has a sad story. He came in with the intent to break the law. He works while continuing to break our laws.
And how many Islamic countries could he be sent to? Set him up in Morocco with a condo and a falafel shop. Done.
Morocco probably has the sense not to take them in.
There should be a way to vet the terps. Maybe they should just go to Mehico and come in that way.
