- 900 ghz radio capability in Echo and Ring was added two years.
- Echo and Ring devices throughout the neighborhood can connect to each other in a mesh network collecting data for Amazon.
- All the devices our Amazon’s infrastructure subject to the encryption Amazon chooses. The network is private to Amazon utilizing the device owners Internet connection.
- Plantir, government contractor (digital mercenary) that uses data for offensive purposes.
Block-chain protected AI entity.
It’s over.
Glad the firesticks aren’t part of this crap.
It should have been called “Palantir”.
Those were the seeing stones in Lord of the Rings that linked to Sauron.
What’s over? Just don’t buy a ring doorbell and don’t talk to alexa. Not that difficult. It’s stupid to even have a ring doorbell. There’s no paperboy collecting, Girl Scout cookies can be bought online, deliveries are announced by text messages and email, home invasion robbers don’t ring doorbells, most people don’t want to buy things from sales people who come to your door, and if someone is coming over, you already know they are coming. If you aren’t home and someone rings the doorbell you can’t do anything. Hi I am not home go ahead and rob the place.
As far as Alexa, I don’t like talking to machines. I guess I am grumpy. I don’t use self checkout because it is always telling me what to do. Other people like being told to put the item in the bagging area. Not me. I would rather talk to a rude cashier than have a machine tell me what to do. Same as I absolutely will not try to converse with one of those phone answering systems. I’m sorry I didn’t understand that.
“If you aren’t home and someone rings the doorbell you can’t do anything.”
You can tell them to leave before you get the 12 gauge and calls 911.
I swear something is listening to me. And I don’t have Amazon or Alexa. Maybe it’s my phone.
But I was just discussing something the other day and sure enough I started seeing commercials for it.
My car assumes where I am going in the morning!
I was going to buy something on line the other day, and for no particular reason the first thing I filled in was my state.
Immediately a card popped up with my full name, address, and phone number on it. Remember, I had only entered my state.
From what I have read, any device older than 2019 isn’t part of the the plan.
Your phone is listening to you.
Every supplier and app.
Your TV remote or any smart remote in your house. Do any of the kids have TicTok installed? Good luck with that.
All of your devices and google,BookFace,Youtoob know exactly who you are and are constantly asking you for more information or confirming prior info while now allowing them to use all your information across all the platforms they see fit.....
>> know exactly who you
yup
And you can opt out of it
My buddies and I all have 8W Baofeng UV-5R radios each programmed with the same file, consisting of FRS, GMRS, MURS, VHF, UHF, SARNET, NOAA and more. These are great radios. And easy to program. All you need is the programming cable, a laptop and free software named “Chirp”. I recommend the whole kit, radio, wired mic, both antennas, prog cable, ear-piece. They usually come with the charger base. I also got the ham radio study guide from arrl and am studying for my ham license.

Your car, your phone, your tv, your comuter, echo, alexa, ring all put into place marketed and sold to you unsuspected.
thanks! will check it out.

That’s been going on for about 10 years — that we know of. Your PC, your cell phone, your smart TV, and all those other gizmos that I don’t have or understand. IIRC, smart TVs and PC webcams can watch, so cover your camera lenses.
Years ago a FReeper posted that he was in his home office with no cell phone or TV in the room. He was speaking to his brother on his landline about an upcoming fishing or hunting trip. Ten minutes later, ads relative to the trip started showing up on his screen.
To make matters worse and add to the suspicion, I watched a very long video about 10 years ago which showed how cameras and mics were put into things like your keyboard, speakers, or mouse or what-have-you. I’m sure that’s not the policy of all companies ...
